I just realized the combined one had the prototype of the female version, so I'm reuploading :)

it looks beautiful, very fancy, but there is a lot of small details that would be lost in the game
masks need to go over the hair, sadly thats how the layers on the game are
i think the male eyes look a little, like he's sleepy, and both eye sets hav outline around the whole eye which is not allowed and doesnt look that nice imo
and the eyebrows are a little too big and simple, compared to how detailed everthing else is

To detail eyebrows you would need to add several small lines in a darker/lighter colour which usually gets criticed right away as "too detailed"
Its either positive that the eyebrows dont add anything on top as eyebrows arent really an extremely fancy thing...

@atomic hearth thanks, but I expected the small designs to not be clearly visible ig. But in order to make a design that has the extravagant characteristics I aimed for, I believe the small designs are okay, since it established what I wanted. The eyes are my signature style, so it was intentional too. And you mentioned the outline of the eyes, but I was pretty sure that eyelines were ok, since they symbolize the eyelashes. I'll make sure to make the mask go above the hair though :)
@near grove :) I deliberately emphasized the eyelashes so they stand out for the character of the female. And the small gold designs were there to give the impression of extravaganza, and when I tried to make them bigger, it didn't give the same effects

Okay so
Beginning from the shirt
The male shirt looks pretty good but one shoulder is higher than the other one, idk if that was intended but it looks a lil weird, also both arm airs aren't exactly identical
For the cape of the girl the main part of it would get cut off so it may not be recognizable at all anymore and if its part of the shirt it might also hide some backgrounds as back item is behind the shirt
The hair looks like its not shaded at all and imo blends pretty much with the skin colour you used, on the girl you can barely see a difference between left face half and hair
Also where the falls into the face it is pretty stiff and sharp instead of flowing like regular hair
as for the girls hair the bottom of it could maybe get either a bit sharper or a bit more straight cut, because right now its pretty round and usually hair doesnt end in a rounded shape at the tips
Other than that it looks very cool and i love the colour scheme etc you used ^^

The male's shirt was intentionally higher on one shoulder, because I designed him to be posing as a slight shrug.
The cape for the girl was checked on the preview in game template, and thankfully did not exclude the main parts I wanted it to exhibit :) the ends were slightly cut off but I think I can work with that. The cape is the background item for this avatar, so that solves the coverage problem too!
The hair was shaded minimum, mostly because I was working on not overdoing the hair (like the first design). I recognized many prior designs ig to have minimum shading as well, and I would prefer the shading I have right now :(
I'll see if the different shades around the face will be better :)
The girl's hair was actually cut off in the photo, so it could've been the hair tie you were looking at! I'll make sure the ends are sharper.

@median briar -> yes you can do lips as mask item but they shouldn't have a certain skin colour because light skin colour lips would look unnatural with dark skin tones so you can just use a colour like if its lipstick, also they would have to cover the default mouth ^^
-> yes you can use translucency for any items, so same would go with lips, tho if you want to add lips which are wider/bigger than the default lips it might look a little weird depending on the translucency you choose

@median briar I know im really late, but I think you just need to remove some of the highlights. Because I can see where you placed the shadows and those are in the right places. So if you make those a bit thicker and remove some of the highlights it would look really cool
Oh and also. I personally think the eyes are a little too big and you could use a darker colour for the freckles.

In the style guide it says no gradient is allowed so maybe try just a low opacity white line instead ^^
Same for the blush and the other highlights,, it does look quite nice tho๐
However the make up is a bit off as its bigger on one side than the other, same for the shirt
So maybe try to use the mirror function to make it look more accurate ๐โค

Unicron is correct with that. Thereโs really only 3 problems to me.
- The eye matching (itโs not the color itโs the shape and size sort of thing)
- The eyebrow color (this should match the brown of the actual raccoon skin)

First thing first. I really like the idea. There are a few things you can improve.
Hair: it canโt go behind tbr back. I personally prefer the hair colours you used in the girl version. So I would suggest to use the same colour in the boys hair.
Eyes: I like the girls eyes. Nothing to say about that. The boys eyes are a bit blurred though. Donโt know why but yeah. The eyebrows are also a bit wobbly. So I would make sure that the eyes are clearer and the eyebrows straighter.
Shirt: the both shirts can use some shading. I would suggest to make the collar of the girls shirt the same as the boys. The hood thing (idk how to call it in english) should be a bit higher so it cover the neck a bit. (I can show you if you dont understand)
Front item: i like it! Just add some shadows and its good.
Back item: i like the fading out idea. Just the brighter pink and purple direct behind the character are a bit weird. In would suggest to remove them or shape them so they are less massive.
Last thing: I like the freckles but they are too small. They wonโt be visible in game. Im not sure if the earrings are big enough or not

Okay so, first off i really like the concept and execution but some things are slightly off like...
Lets shart with the Background, i like the idea of it but its pretty unclean and very huge
It is quite the eyecatcher of the design which it shouldn't be, so maybe try something a little bit more subtle maybe?๐
Like the milky way for example? I can imagine that working well with low opacity layers and some white stars on it would look awesome at night i bet!
I get what you're aiming at with the shirt but, the shading of the jacket it a bit off, at least from the female version
For example at the armpit area, that thin line will barely be visible in game and doesnt rly look realistic hm
Maybe try thickening it a tad and making it get pointier where it gets into the armpit and get a tad thinner once it hits the bottom can sketch up what i mean if you dont understand it well ^^
Also it's a bit weird the shirt is curved upwards, usually with an off shoulder shirt its either curved downwards and more diagonal
For the male shirt try making the hood look cleaner and also make the black a tad less black and add shadows where the arms are at too ๐
I'd also suggest making the strings a bit thicker
As for the front item, i think it looks cute but would look better without the emote stickers as the white border isnt exactly proportional all along and its already cute enough without those stickers๐
~~i dont think you use medibang but maybe your app also got an "add border" option? This would create a clean white border around the emote
I would also suggest adding some shading at the downer side of the telescope!
As for the freckles, of both male and female version as they are the same mostly, they should be a bit thicker/bigger because the way they are right now they are hardly recognisable so in game i thini they'd just get completely lost
As for the shape of the eyes, try making them a bit... sharper? Probably not the right word for this but... lets say cleaner! Like the eyeline for both male and female should get a bit thinner at the ends and also maybe make the corner of the eye where the eyeliner is a bit sharper, so the white part looks a tad sharper maybe? ^^
Also for the eyebrows in my opinion they should start thicker and get thinner at the end and not the other way around,,, just looks more natural imoeyes
as for the earring, i am wondering which category you want it to be placed?
Also it seems to be a bit too thin, try making it a bit bigger in order for it getting seen in gameeyes
I think the hair shading is a bit off, you may take a look into #dev-voteย on how others shade their hair, i could propose you what to change about it but you may prefer an other style
But right now it just doesnt look realistic and a tad odd to me!
In general i'd add more shading to the items, especially, shirt, at the downer side of the telescope and a more realistic shading to the hair,,
As for the female shirt i'd also maybe make the symbol on her shirt bigger because it looks a bit empty right now
Either that or add some more stars!!
The telescope as gravestone -> again shading ofceyes
Then maybe removing the stickers or making them more clean
And also shade the single pieces of glass just like you shaded the whole one, i dont think the shading changes for a tinier surface
And as for the cracks try giving them more depth + making them with a thicker brush, because rn it looks slightly scratched but not like actual cracks
Other than that i really really really love the idea and you did a well job over thereeyes
