1. half-half doesn't work best in hair.
   I recommend one of 3:
   A. Pure single color.
   B. Out and in: you make it pure first, then use a lighter shade of same color to create individuality and show hair strand style, like vapidchip's avatar in vote.
   P.S. vapidchip's is a complex version of it, it can be only one spot.
   P.P.S. It's hard to visualise (At least for me, I can't create it).
   C. Two colors but justified: it can be justified by a color for hair and a color for ponytail, or a color for hair and a color for bangs...etc. u get it, and again there are many examples in vote that did suggestion C.

That's it regarding color.

Regarding shape:

1. On desktop apps, any designer will use pentool for wwo style. On mobile apps, whatever one u use, there should be grids, curves, ellipses...etc. that u can trace to make smooth curves, that don't have unintended irregularities.
2. In WWO, items are presented as single png files (as far as I know devs have been doing till now), so hair as an item has to be continuously in one plane, so it can't go behind ear.
