I think Krita is free? I never tried it, but I heard that's a good app on computer.

If for some reason your computer were to crash and you'd want to be able to still edit whatever you made, you can use Medibang. That app has an online gallery. I'm not sure if Krita does, but you could check if it does.

#

Pretty sure both of the apps have Linux versions, so there shouldn't be a problem. ^^
