While i understand your point of view, everyone has different tastes tbh. Some people don’t like animal themed skins and prefer “dark themed” skins too.
Also there are already a lot of animal themed skins / items (bp or not) in game.

Yea, i can see that many people like dark themed skins, thats why funny or animal themed skins dont get a chance. Just look at the skin vote channel. Most skins follow the same theme

for instance, if you’re talking about bp skins then it’s the community that voted for it and we can’t do much about it.
If you want you can suggest animal skins in game in hope that it’ll get added

I personally actually start a full outline, that I the fill in with the flat colour that I want the hair to be, afterwards I just add a new layer and trace the most important shadows/seperations of the outline

tbh i just draw chunks of hair, usually I do one big chunk and then add two a bit smaller strands and then just turn down opacity of all objects so I see where they overlap

Because the hair item layer is above the Body/Shirt/[…] layer, meaning to achieve a hairstyle that appears to go behind the body, you would have to make it body/shirt specific which in turn would not be compatible with other items

It‘s not a rule because someone woke up and said let’s do a rule to restrict designers cause we are funny, if the shirt were to be put above the body, you would have no more than 2 possible hairstyles. Up-do or behind the body with no layering of bangs etc, that would normally be infront of the shirt

I think this style is just harder to do cause you have to very precisely outline the face when you draw the hair, so designers opt for more flowy hair or in specific hairstyles

Yes, but you cannot draw hairstyles such as braids unless you curve them unnaturally upwards nor will you be able to properly show of similar low hairstyles since the body would be in the way. Half the game’s hairstyles would become more or less invalid if you can’t see the actual hairstyles and instead everything looks and shapes the same

okay so the hairs itself are very good but you are missing some highlights and the hairs structure/shading looks odd and not well placed. do it along the base so it might fit better. Otherwise great job. Eyes are maybe a bit too big might adjust them as well
