Ban people in ranked failing to use a "strat". Betamom already explained why enough, and something being a strat isn't a free pass to risk everything and drag down your team even tho it wasn't your intention. My view point on this is that, everyone should do it at their own risk. If they're successful then good, maybe add in a mvp system to the game too. But if they fail, they should accept the consequences instead of whining that it's a strategy...
meds claiming rv to not die day 1 is understandable but being unknown checked and then claiming rv after that to just be shot...? Cmon

In rules, under gamethrowing, the wording is "pretending to be another role to put your leading team in a disadvantage".
This is unclear, as if a priest claims medium and gets shot by the gunner, thats throwing, but if priest claims medium and waters jww, who tags priest, that is good game. Rules should not depend on how other people play the game.

What if the wws are no claims? Its matter of time when they ask him about role. He cant say rrv. If doc is claimed he cants say doc. Med.jailer etc wont make u live long either. So i try my luck and sell him. We wouldnt win anyways since he had ni claim thus hes an obv evil.

For uniform enforcement of rules, posting in next paragraph so it can be taken as a whole.
It would be helpful if those who reported got a notification, "This player was banned for gamethrowing" or "hate speech", whatever be the case. If not, then even "this player has not been banned for gamethrowing, but thanks for the report". This would encourage more players to report bad play, instead of just ignoring it and moving on in sb or quick. Right now, there is uncertainty among players about whether reporting helps really or not.

It's not for specific, we appreciate any kind of feedback as it helps us with knowing what the community wants. However, when it's not specific we can't do anything about it. F.e. as you suggested "one good gamemode" is something very opinionated and doesn't help the devs with knowing what exactly you want. It only tells them that you want a new gamemode and that's it ^^
As for your feedback rules not aligning with game mechanics:
Rules are rules and are here to ensure a safe and nice game play from everyone. It would be unfair for the other (dead) villagers to lose because the alive ones decided to team if they could have won as village.

@alpine linden yes, I agree it is unfair to dead villagers, that is what I was saying actually, that rules should make it clear that waiting for sect or zombie is throwing. That is what happens anyway. At times, towards endgame people even treat bandit like sect or zombie sometimes. If ww wins because of couple and cupid, that coupled ww should be reported for throwing. Say if Im bg and died and village wins as sect and I report everyone in the village, I have no idea if that was any use or not. One suggestion is:
Make sect or zombie win if they reach majority and all ww dead. Make the other villagers lose.

@alpine linden maybe a tier in quick match where anyone under level 10 is filtered into a separate quick match from the rest of us—kind of a learning tier while they are still starting out. Once they reach level 10 they then lobby into the regular quick match games. 🤷♂️

And honestly whether you lose to wws or solo killer or voting role shouldn't be much of a difference in the amount that you lose.

The actual (overpowered) classic roles rotation is this:
As you can see, Village is overpowered for four reasons:

Protectors: there are two protectors, this means that at least 2 informers are invincible until their deaths, and independently from an uncovered
, in the 99% of cases is always protected by forever. This means that never dies if isn't killed. -
Villagers killers:
(two bullets) + (one bullet) + (holy water) = at least 4 kills. This means that the entire werewolves team could be annihilated in 1 cycle (day for and and night for ). -
Three informers:
, as mentioned above, never dies in the 99% of cases if there's . can still switch protection from the two , and this will cause confusion to werewolves because they won't know who to kill. Three informers = three possible evils discovering in a single night. -
Medium: the

@safe cypress I think this would be hard to execute. For one it would mess up the flag-leaderboards. It's also not very necessary since most (not all of course ^^) clans only have one language. I have been playing this game for some time, and a huge issue has been gaping for me and everyone else: the village is far too overpowered. Most roles in the village are not very op, but together they create a very difficult team to play against for all other roles. In this message, I will reiterate some key issues that I have seen.

Seer;
The Seer is the most powerful role on the village and is a game breaker. It is unfathomably difficult to play against unless you conveniently take it out on the first night. The role itself makes the game super unfun to play when you are playing against the village, even more when you are solo. I recommend either removing it from the game or giving it a severe nerf. -
Gunner;
The Gunner is the most annoying role to play against and is one of the most powerful roles in the game. There is no need to explain why the role is overpowered, but the special ability of this role is that you will hate playing against it no matter the skill range of the player. Trigger happy morons are annoying, playing against a good player is extremely difficult and both sides hate those trolls.
What is convenient is that both
of the previously mentioned roles have better versions of the roles themselves that are actually really good and fun.

Snippets;
I am aware that there is a poll to remove these things, but I need to express hov bad they are. They ruin the concept of the game which was mistrust and lies. With a click on two buttons you can by all of the trust in the world. When a part of the game is so bad that it defeats the purpose of the game itself, it needs to be removed. -
Jailer;
Jailer is not a bad role, but I will suggest a nerf to it: make the role not a protector. In other words, make it so that the target can still die if in jail.
You have noticed that I have repeatedly bashed the village for its broken roles; it's sad that op roles like the Werewolf berserk need to exist in other for the werewolves to have a reasonable chance to win. However, the next role I want to discuss is the most op, annoying and garbage role in the game.
- Zombie;
Please remove this role. This is the most difficult role to play against. Unless you find zombie on day one, you're dead. Finished. Once there are two zombies, there is no way to track them down and kill them. This role has no good nerf and it should be deleted from the game.
I will now discuss some popular responses to these ideas.
"These roles need to stay since new players need to learn to play an easy role."
New players also need to learn how to play as evil roles, since they will eventually be those. Long story short: in order to know how to play the game most properly, you need to learn all roles. These roles aren't the only starting points; Aura Seer, Detective, Spirit Seer and some others are also easy and enjoyable to play.
"Many players love these roles!"
Many players also despise these roles. I am looking at the quality of the game, not pleasing a minority.
If you don't believe me, go and play the game, buy a couple of talismans for Serial Killer, and try to win. Quick game is very hard to win when you're evil, Sandbox is really difficult, and Ranked is borderline impossible to win. To prove this, ask yourself: "How many times did I win and lose as village, and how many times did I win and lose as a werewolf?"

Ideas for customs games :
- An option to drop the votes required to kill someone during the day to 0.
- A mode where, each day, vote aren't show during vote, but at the end of the vote phase, you have 5s to see who voted who, and who is eliminated.
=> Consequently, you can't still see who voted who when a shadow wolf used his ability.

@lethal kelp after some discussion with after staff we've come to the conclusion that these kind of nerfs are not needed, as they are supposed to be strong roles. Also the nerf of gunner would basically turn him into priest but able to shoot anyone.

As for the second one while I do think it could be really cool I also think that that might end up in very few lynches, unless the players manage to agree very well. Adding onto that the evil roles don't have any gain from this either, since the votes will be revealed later. So I'm not sure how well this would work out

@signal wigeon dead acco not being able to see who other accomplices are is a preventive measure against gamethrowing.
As for seeing your original role - in the bottom left corner is a small mask icon. It contains all roles in the game and at the very top is your own. When you're turned you'll see the Acco/Zombie icon and a smaller icon, slightly faded at the left side of it, which displays your original role. When you're sect member you role is still displayed in the grid (on the right side) and the sect icon on the left side.

At the start of every game, can we have a screen that shows us the average level between all players? Only to see what kind of lobby are we going to play in.

@autumn fog Heya, I don't think that's necessary or useful. Here's why:
First of all average would say nothing. F.e. if you have a level 1 player and a level 500 player the average would be 250. What does that tell you? Not a lot. I mean yeah, with more players it'll be more specific but usually players have totally different levels. But you could have a lobby full of level 1 players and one level 500 player - the average would be 32. I think you get the idea. If there's just one or two players with incredibly high levels the average won't help you at all. Or players with incredibly low levels while the
Adding onto that I think it could increase suicides from higher level players if the average is "too low" for their liking.
Another point is that level does not indicate their playstyle. I've seen people at level 100 still gamethrowing, random shooting, etc and I've seen people at level 10 play their role incredibly well.
Last but not least you'll see what kind of lobby you are playing in as soon as day starts, which is why it isn't necessary. You could argue it'll "prepare you" for what's to come but to be honest? It's not so long until day starts.

Hi everyone, my nickname in Werewolf is Bimba. As much as I like this game, unfortunately, I have to say that the moderator and the system of assigning Bans and punishments leave something to be desired. I'll give you an example: I was banned because a group of kids accused me of Teamming (fake) just because I managed to win as a Killer. Other than that, I was insulted, laughed at and banned to finish. @austere timber heya, the skins going in-game depend on the community. There's a voting gallery in the game (inventory→items→rocket) there you can rate each skin. You can also vote in #dev-vote. The devs then check the ratings of each design and decide wether or not it goes in-game based upon that. So if you want specific skins in-game just go ahead and vote 😊❤️

I have an idea that would be really helpful! So in a game I think for the rrv roles if you get that role it’ll remind you that you’re an rrv. Cause that gets confusing whether you’re rrv or not. Especially with double roles you should know if you’re rrv or not. I think we should implement that into the game

Automate the monitoring then. Install screen scrape technology to follow the chats with the game action. Spot throwers. Gunners who shoot proven villagers, etc. Or get more guardians. I am aware they have lives. But then solve for the resource constraint by getting more resources.
The app charges real money for coins, outfits, etc. Hire and pay guardians then.

There is already a bot that can somewhat go through and automatically report. If you’re a werewolf and say something like 11 is a ww it can give you a warning and it doesn’t send the message to the village. Perfecting these bots would be difficult since it’s just a bot and not a real person.

All the reports don’t have to come from the same game. it’s over a span of time that if a player gets 12 reports that the guardians can check in on it
Also guardians don’t get payed since they voluntarily signed up to do what they do🙃

I still suggest to increase the number of guardians. Or pay them. If you are worried about access to info, make them sign a nondisclosure agreement binding them to not abuse info.

About live monitoring there’s just not enough staff for it for the immense number of lobbies.

The live monitoring is broken. I know I'm not the first to point this out. I'm sorry they don't like to hear this, but it's out of control. Over time, more and more people will continue to provide this feedback. They have to be able to control their app, and I fear right now they can't.

I'm sure this will have been raised before. Recently I'm finding that pre-game ads are uncloseable. The ad runs and then just remains on screen with no exit button visible. Sometimes I can tap top-right and I seem to hit an invisible close button, but sometimes that doesn't work and I have to completely reboot the game. And even then, sometimes it just happens again! Is it fixable?

@brave pollen Guardians already are bound to contracts. Just try to report people ingame for breaking rules as much as possible and that’s when guardians can take action!

I think if there are so many skins to be voted into the BP there should be a two phase voting system, because when they are 54 skins to choose from sometimes ur vote doesnt even really count.
let me explain:
1 phase: everyone has 5 votes and all skins can be choosem from
2 phase: everyone has 5 votes again and they can vote the best 20 or 25 skins from the first voting phase
the pros in this method are, that if your voted skins dont get into the 2nd phase, you are still able to vote other skins that you like in the second phase
bcs for the BP 13 they werent that much skins to choose from, so the probability that one of ur voted skins gets into the BP is bigger. but now with 54 skins to choose from, the probability that ur voted skins get into the BP is much lesser

i suggest that if the votes to lynch a player has changed, the game shld tell us that "The votes to lynch has changed! The new votes required are x".
Example, there are 8 players. It's voting time. The gunner shoots a player becoming 7 players. Since it was 8 players before, the game said "Voting Time (4 votes required)!". After the gunner shot, the votes have changed to 3 votes required, so the game should say "The required votes to lynch has changed! (3 votes required)!"

The normal one seer one aura (or some combination of two different seers, even plus a detective as a third) always works well, so I'd suggest having it as normal but ensuring it's never 3 seers. Just two seers plus sometimes a third role such as detective as we normally have.

When i play a games there are so many suicide player and then they have often have a rate of 20-40 percent. I don't feel like playing with people like that. I would suggest it if there is a point in the settings "I only want to play with players who have a maximum of x% suicide". x may then be minimal the own suicide rate. Have the nature scenery be changeable but only by special achievements/ not apart of outfits.
This could be something special, representing things that required a hefty achievement to obtain in order to get the scenery.
Some suggestions for scenery would be the OG trees (Yes I was here for that 2 years ago), fall trees, winter trees (different from the seasonal ones), maybe dead trees, flower trees, etc.

I do not like that some bandit or maniac can kill the wolf leader so easily. I propose to strengthen Alpha and make him immune to death if the killer chooses him as a victim at night. @woeful warren Yes it should be unbalanced. It would be an incentive not to commit suicide. Currently in the game it doesn't matter if you commit suicide. At the moment there are no or a too low punishment for it. I think that would be a fair punishment. Since a year the people here write that you have a low punishment against suicide gamethrower and unfair player. And YOU do NOTHING!!!

@runic panther heya, afaik the Google Playstore has an inbuilt option to add PayPal and a few other payment options. You can find it under "payment methods" in the menu. I'm not sure for Apple.
Overall adding external payment methods isn't possible due to privacy reasons and the playstore's TOS. Thank you for the suggestion nonetheless!

Nougat#5222 thé addition of 2 aura seers has made it a lot more easier for the villagers to win. And it’s extremely difficult to win a game as a serial killer cuz you’ll eventually get figured out, the corrupter was better as you could lie about your role and get away with it but with the serial killer it’s impossible. I think the addition of priest was good tho but the other additions and changes were not the best and I know most people that play the game feel the same way too.

@runic dragon seeing if your couple is corrupted wouldn't make much sense, since you don't see it for other roles either. Seeing when they've been attacked as tg also wouldn't make much sense since you can't prevent their death and they will most likely say they've been attacked at day anyway. And also making it only visible for BG (or BG and TG) would be a little odd, since this would be the only roles having any sort of "direct interaction" with their lover (if I may call it that).
So, what I'm thinking is making all your interactions of your lover visible. (If he can kill who he is voting/killing, what he selects, etc.)

@nimble crescent heihei, if you see players breaking rules make sure to report them and encourage others to do so as well. If they don't know that it's against the rules possibly explain it to them or reference the rules (during a game you can press the setting wheel and find the rules there). Teaming with Bandit when village can still win should be reported as "gamethrowing" and is indeed against the rules and thus punished. Thank you for the feedback!

Either way, the auto report isn't perfect and can't be made perfect. Sadly, we aren't that advanced with technology yet. However, it is only one autoreport and won't get you banned. And if you should happen to get banned unjustified you can always appeal to the guardians to get unbanned! ❤️

I had a suggestion for clans. I thought it would be cool if there was more variety of promotions available to give out in a clan. Let me know if this idea has been suggested before and what types of promotions may become available in the future.

As for receiving xp dependant on kills - that's a bit unfair, to be honest. Bomber kills one more person per 2 nights compared to every other role (if he always kills 3). If you are arso/illu/canni and save up your killing until the very end but get killed yourself right before, you'd get no XP at all. This would force people who play this tactic to play a different one. Solo killers already get a lot of xp, if they win, so I don't really see a point

As for why people want to play custom games: that's because they can try and test interesting and funny set-ups, exchange roses in private, maybe try some ranked tactics, etc - there's a lot of possibilites! For example there would be an MVP promotion for whoever the leader finds to be the most active and valuable player in the clan. Another idea would be something like elder promotion for someone who's been in the clan for a long period of time.

Another reason i don’t think this is fair is that typically friends are all in the same clan (which are the people you like playing the most with) so not being able to play with them would take out some of the fun. Well here's what I think. Some of the clan promotions would just be for recognition reasons such as the MVP promotion which can be changed at any time to whoever the leader feels is the most valuable player in the clan.
Then there could also be a promotion to a player who is co leader to be the treasurer.they would be able to see a list of all the clan members and how much money they have donated each month or so and then they could report back to the leader or other co-leaders to decide if some players need to be kicked for not participating in donations.
another final idea I had was for players to be elders so they don't have all of the available options of co-leader such as starting clan quest or shuffling the clan quest but they can still invite new players to the clan.

Also I believe that co-leaders can already see a list of members and how much they have donated already (either weekly, monthly, or all-time; this also applies to other things like xp and gems). @faint venture You’re welcome for the idea! But now that i’m thinking about custom permissions for co-leaders i’m questioning on how it could be more helpful then problematic. Leaders can already handle the things in the clan and co-leaders just help with that. Custom permissions could lead to more complications for the leader. They would have to decide on who gets to do what and some co-leaders could end up abusing there power leading to the leader to regret there decision.

hi I have a suggestion, I hope wwo better limit the sandbox mode to be just moderate levels like 30≥. Because every time you play in the sanbox, many low level players play there arbitrarily and don't want to be regulated at all

Suicides ruin the game. That's why they should be punished harder than now. Now you can commit suicide 5 times before u get a ban. This ban only lasts 10 minutes!! And you can reduce this time by watching ads.
I recommend, that the ban time is longer and u can't reduce it.
5 Suicides is a lot and ruins the fun of the game for sooo many other players.
In the FAQ it said a long time "suiciding 2 times in 6 hours and you'll get a ban...",what now? Now more suicides are allowed?

So about your stage system in the battle pass vote, it is a good idea on the first glace but also has some issues. First of all, thank you for the support of the designers and also the feedback ❤️ I am pretty sure many designers would love to see that you like their work 
Next point the system itself. In short you would like a more phase system where the designs get chosen slowly so the vote of one person counts more in the end, right? The idea in general is good and can of course help to really choose but it also takes a lot of time, which we don't really have. Let me explain what I mean. The battle pass vote has many different phases
- Collecting bp Themes (a day or 2)
- Theme vote (lasts 4-5 days)
- Designers get informed/official announcement
- Designers have to come up with ideas for the theme (this takes the designer some time because it's a new theme they didn't know)
- The deadline gets set by Kem (a bit later after the announcement)
- Designers have to design (often they get a month for it and still complain it isn't enough time)
- Kem collects the designs and finishes the vote (takes a few days)
- Then Philipp posts the battle pass vote in #dev-vote (after getting it from kem)
- The vote starts (lasts 4-5 days)
- The winners get informed (takes a day or 2)
- They send Kem their svg {if they don't have one they need to trace/someone to trace which means redrawing everything in another program (can take up to a week since the tracer has to really redraw everything given)
- Kem works with them a bit (takes a day or 2)
- they get added in game (1-2 days)
- Designers get codes (a day)
- They can give them to friends and can play with them a bit (a week often)

^ as you can see in the above listed thing, it is pretty much impossible to have more stages since the time just runes out meanwhile. If you would add more votes it gets longer and to have a better vote then you have to start the battle pass 17 preparation in battle pass 15 so everyone has enough time. I agree, that it would maybe give another result in the vote, but maybe not because the users which voted x will vote x again and later too so the possibility is high, that the result stays like that in the end.
The battle pass should be some kind of surprise so that doesn't seem like the goal and that's not to make anyone bad, but designing is not just something everyone can in 5 minutes.
Additional all these steps are necessary because else something wouldn't work out well. It is also not about what one person wants but the whole community and even if we would introduce this system, then there would still be people which are unhappy with everything.
I would like to mention the Designers tournament here. We get a lot of feedback, that the first both should win, but as you probably know yourself, if we introduce 2 winners, then next time someone will say 'add 3 winners, they are all so good' and this will keep on then. It is not the same, but similar and an example for issues.
The werewolf Online community chooses what they want in the battle pass and this is often the style which is in game or something they really love 🤔 It takes time and evaluation ❤️

@frozen mirage alright I have returned after a small discussion and a nice sleep. We've come to the decision that this doesn't really make much sense, since sandbox is for testing things that the devs feel should be tested (certain roles, balance tests, etc). Additionally, those old roles are usually in all gamemodes, if they have bugs they get reported and the Devs will try fixing them. It works the way it is right now, so basically there's currently no need for this kind of change. Thank you for the suggestion though ❤️

Also medium is unk to aura because it can revive players. Additionally, having less unk players would make it even harder for the wws and solo roles. They already have it really hard as is.

Keep in mind that in order to get a skin in-game someone needs to have an idea, then design it (which can depending on speed and dedication take up to multiple months), get it through the voting process and if it isn't in vector (which is the case most of the time) need to be traced by someone, which takes an additional week or so.
It's hard to receive this many designs and simply humanly not possible. Especially since so few people do their designs in vector and there's only a tiny handful of people who trace.

Hey, I recently played a game where I was Spirit Seer and checked a ww and doc. During that night the cannibal ate the ww, so during the day when I used the snippets it made me say "16 killed last night." This was actually quite a bit confusing and pretty everyone ended up voting for him and killed the doc.
I suggest the snippets say both player numbers even if one dies. It would be more accurate and create less confusion as "X killed last night." ends up sounding really definite.

Enable a function to make everyone anonymous in custom games and plat/gold ranked. This is because people may keep checking you if you're very pro/noob which obviously make the game much less fun
@plain lintel So what I meant was that make everyone's name random(such as Jack,Sam,Tom) etc and give them a random outfit, so when you play multiple ranked games(and when you meet same players, they won't remember you. This can make games more balanced(especially on the first night). Sorry for not saying it clear!

Sorry i have to write this critical feedback, without any construktive suggestion. Your game annoys me if you can't get it under control that there are suicide, gamethrower or offensive gamer. Today i played 10 games and in 8 games i have people who don't play after the rules. So nearly every game is waste time. I have the feeling that there are more and more player who dont play after the rules. There are so many suggestions here in the feedback or in the feedback-dev Area. But nothing changed there. The only one good thing is that you expand the guardians, but they can`t handle all the reports which they get.

How would yall feel if they added a new role Okay so the roles name is shifter and the team is solo it could be in rotation with the other ones. So every night you kill one person and when you kill them you take their role and you are the only one who can see it. To the other people it would just show up as a question mark like when you get killed by corruptor. You will then show up as that role to seers and auras etc. If you dont like your role you can change it by selecting the option when you kill someone the next night. You cant be killed bye werewolfs either. You win if you are the last one standing

@high cobalt Hey there, try avoid using all caps. Sandbox is a game mode to test new roles that could be put into quick games in the future. Also sometimes the players that suicide have no other choice for example they might have to go take care of a sibling or they lost connection but the players that do suicide on purpose (since they don’t like the role they received) will most likely be punished.
also try to avoid spamming this channel and keep it clear for new feedbacks since it can be a bit confusing 🙂

Why can't you guys go back to the original way battle pass was done when you earned the tier items by xp? Instead you now have to do the xp then pay 1200 gold on top of having to buy quests with gold in clans when the gold wheel only gives you a maximum of 30 gold a time and even when you do the rose wheel you are very unlikely to even reach 1000 as I've only ever had 200. Played over 4,000 games, and I'm stuck in silver because there's nothing i can do to stop new people from random voting. I'm forced to play with people who dont even know the roles, or insist on random killing, or just leave the game when they're med or something. Here's some more feedback, bands for rudeness are ridiculous. Being rude part of the game. For example, you're much more likely to get lynched if you're rude, so rudeness could be a strategy for a fool. You take that away because people on the internet can't handle harsh language?

The underlying principle is that how you treat people is a clear indication of your in-game role. It's a human interaction. It's clear that it is always going to be part of the game. Denying it doesn't resolve anything, but what you can do is create a safe place for those six year olds who want to play.
I hope you understand that I'm not trying to troll. I'm genuinely concerned with improving the game, and I also think this is kind of an interesting conversation.

@wet sedge I personally don't find it necessary as you can report them if they break the rule or harass you. Blocking is a method to avoid seeing what that player says, it can be done for personal reasons and there's no need to have any report for that

You should get an item when you finish a role achievement (for example the sk mask, the doctor shirt, the bodyguard glasses, the seer eyes (other than from the ones you find in the shop), the avenger sword...). Designers could submit items and there would be a vote, then when someone clears an achievement he gets the item and can wear it ig. (I know they are already role outfits but those would be other items)

Hey, I think remixing the quest skins should cost a fixed price and not 500 coins + 100 coins * number of player who forgot to deactivate the participation button after the previous quest ended (rather a fixed 2000 coins or so). The alternative, which i prefer even more, is that clan leaders and vice leaders should be able to activate/deactivate each member’s participation. This is not only useful for such cases but also when loyal members have not logged in for a while and you do not directly want to remove them from the clan or when new members would like to donate but did not yet know when to (before quest start).

Description of pacifist ability in Polish is confusing. In 2nd part it says it protects someone from voting that day but it's not protection from voting. It just makes everyone unable to vote. In English it's "... and prevent anybody from voting durning that day." and in Polish it's "... and protect someone from voting durning that day.".

So i'm coming back with my ranked idea : my aim was to make ranked more difficult to access, so maybe we should allow people to play ranked we they do have 100 victory, but at least 50 with the village and 50 with the werewolves. (most of the players don't try to play when they are ww, they often leave their team).
