The event started by itself on the date that we used last year. We did notice this quickly, but didn't want to disable it anymore to avoid the flood of people complaining that they upgraded but didn't get anything. So now the event is unofficially enabled as a nice small bonus for people who were just upgrading their cards 😋

Then of course there are the people who use discord and look into this channel and saw that it's on 👋 . Yes, the icon event is active and will stay active, but there is most likely going to be more. This means, if you liked the old icons, now is the best time to get them. We are not going to refund any upgrades though, so if you like the new stuff more, then you really should have just waited for an official announcement. 😉

Leaving the players without information always leads to misinformation. If the system had delay, they may feel scammed and think they disabled the event out of a sudden, and rage quit, or feel let down. On the other hand, people felt unsecure of upgrading cards because there was not an announcement.

Since this situation has repetead itself, it looked like it will continue to be like this in the future, and it could be negative as a whole.

Knowing this now, all looks better, so sorry if you or the staff team felt my words were misfortunate (I don't consider they are). I was expresing my disagreement as it seems to be the only way we would get answers, and so it has been.
