Here are the boss mechanics
First
TL;DR
Mode 1 MT break all the targets
Once targets are broken it's ST until mode change
After you break the targets it gets constant TP refill reduced by damage so it a dps race

Mode 2 is multi target but you need a bit more healing
ST once front boss is dead

When middle boss gets to 1/2 hp it enrages and can use a magic nuke that WILL kill you so you need an SChika or Yukari 6 barrier

Mode 3 is just a dps race
This is usually where you unload mages
It enrages near the end and UBs more often
And every UB powers it up more so you usually die by UB 3 without ames
You save Ames for this mode and then use TP drain units to delays UBs on other teams

Notes:
Your box is pretty solid overall, but this might be tight for a couple reasons

1. you don't have a ton of 6* units yet and a few of the core ones are really good here
2. You have solid units but are lacking in Multi-Target a bit
   EX5 needs at least 2, maybe 3 MT teams for mode 1 and mode 2

Usually you wanna save the borrow for the last mode because the boss hits HARD, but I rearranged things and had you borrow on mode 2 team 1 instead
If you're gonna have trouble it's either gonna be on mode 2 team 1 or at the very end running out of units before the boss kills you
If team 3 doesn't quite kill I have an idea for a magic team that can help in mode 2 (Using PAnna and NYKasumi)

Things that will help make it easier
1 - Get everyone to max rank. I see you aren't there yet, but the bonuses are very good
2 - Unlock more 6*. Especially helpful ones are Monika, Shiori, Tomo, Jun, and Yui
3 - More/Higher level UEs. all the units I reccomended I assume you at least have the UEs unlocked (if they have one) Some are essential like SChika or Neneka/PKyaru so if any of them aren't unlocked unlock them. Leveling some UEs will make things much MUCH smoother though (basically anyone with a TP ue like Christina, Neneka, AYori, PKyaru, etc.)

After you break all the targets the boss gets continuous TP refilled
BUT it's tp is reduced by the damage it takes
So if your DPS is high enough it never attacks

But that doesn't mattwr if they don't get hit

First
TL;DR

After you break the targets it gets constant TP refill reduced by damage so it a dps race

Mode 2 is multi target but you need a bit more healing
ST once front boss is dead

When middle boss gets to 1/2 hp it enrages and can use a magic nuke that WILL kill you so you need an SChika or Yukari 6 barrier

Mode 3 is just a dps race
This is usually where you unload mages
It enrages near the end and UBs more often
And every UB powers it up more so you usually die by UB 3 without ames
You save Ames for this mode and then use TP drain units to delays UBs on other teams

Seeing that you beat EX6 already I'm just gonna give you a crash course and some teams

Mode 1 - Multi target until all parts break, then single target until mode switch (You will probably clear this in 1 team so the ST part doesn't matter)
mode 2- Every 10 hits on middle boss hurts front boss and shreds, at 50% health middle boss enrages and you need a magic barrier to live (This will be 2 teams, 1 MT ish to kill front Goblin, 2nd ST with a barrier for middle goblin)
Mode 3 - Boss UBs, every UB is stronger, usually kills you on UB3 (Except Ames and eris exist) enrages at low health. I'll give 2 teams but would not be surprised if 1st team kills

Team 1 (mode 1) - Anemone, Ames, Eris, Cmaho, Neneka
(Usually I would save Ames and Eris for Mode 3, but your mt is really lacking so we're gonna Anemone this)
Team 2 (mode 2) - CTamaki, Shiori, RShiori, RKokkoro, XJun
Team 3 (mode 2) - SChika, SRuka, WChloe, XAyane, PTInori
Team 4 (mode 3) - WDjeeta, PKyaru, Vampy (Needs UE), Yukari, VShizuru (Literally just for a dark tank, if she dies can swap for Nozomi)
Team 5 (mode 3) - Yui6, CoMakoto, CoEriko, Labyrista, XJun

Not gonna lie, this team comp is a little outside my comfort zone so it might go off script

Hey guys, can you help me with team building for clearing EX-5? I know I may have the character to do it, but I am clueless about team building(I used to just put whatever into the team for other stages). Here is my rooster. Thank you before, and I appreciate the help.

Here are the boss mechanics
First
TL;DR
Mode 1 MT break all the targets
Once targets are broken it's ST until mode change
After you break the targets it gets constant TP refill reduced by damage so it a dps race

Mode 2 is multi target but you need a bit more healing
ST once front boss is dead

When middle boss gets to 1/2 hp it enrages and can use a magic nuke that WILL kill you so you need an SChika or Yukari 6 barrier

Mode 3 is just a dps race
This is usually where you unload mages
It enrages near the end and UBs more often
And every UB powers it up more so you usually die by UB 3 without ames
You save Ames for this mode and then use TP drain units to delays UBs on other teams

Mode 1 Team 1 - Laby, Creditta, LNozomi, CMaho, Croce

Mode 1 Team 2 - Muimi, Christina, AHiyori, SaSaren, PHiyori (If mode is dead, just skip this team)

Mode 2 Team 3 - SFYuni, Shiori, PKokko, Anemone, CTamaki

Mode 2 Team 4 - Makoto 6, CoMakoto, SChika (For Barrier), NYJun, PTInori

Mode 3 Team 5 - NKuuka, Eris, WDjeeta, Misora (Borrow), PKyaru

Mode 3 Team 6 - Ames, AYui, OYuki, Neneka, NYHatsune

You have so many units and are such a high level you should have no trouble
But if a team dies or you need a 7th team just poke me

Finally done it!! thanks I cleared it using 5 team you suggest above!

can I use this team as a basic template for other content? or is it specifically tailored for this dungeon? (team 1 for AOE, team 2,3,4 for physical, 5 and 6 for magic, and what is the substitute for misora from my squad if I want to build a magic team?)

It's pretty well tailored for this
But there's no reason you can't transfer some of it to other content
PVE specifically
Team 1 can be a good generic Phys Multi-Target team
Team 5 and 6 can be generic Magic Single Target Teams (Can replace Misora with Homare or Vampy w/ UE)

The other teams I wouldn't try to transfer anywhere
Though that said you have all the units for the Anemone Turbo team (Not used here in order to spread out units better

Basically 4 units to buff anemone and then anemone's damage ticks go crazy
Good against multi target or lots of enemies

For team building in the future
The rule of thumb is to narrow down what you need for that encounter and maximize element synergies
Basically go
"OK do I need magic or Phys? Do I need Multi Target or Sungle Target?" And then from there look at what element you have that can best fill that niche

Fire is pretty good a ST Phys
Dark Mage is really good at ST and 2 target bosses (With Misora)
Wind MT is Anemone turbo and Wind Mage is pretty good ST with SPKyouka
etc etc.
(Light is good at everything btw)

But before you try I would get everyone to have the rank bonus

When you have the blue bordered gear you get a bunch more tp bonuses
And with synch it's not hard to get that on everyone

And they probably will work right now, but will work better with rank bonus

Try these
I made 7 teams because at your level you might need it
The bottle neck for you is gonna be healers, because mode 3 hits really hard and you're lacking a few of the more mid tier healers (Skokko, PKokko, etc.)
The teams are set up like this so that
Team 1 breaks all of the targets on Mode 1
Team 2 kills the mode (The boss literally will not attack if you do enough dps so no healers needed)
Team 3 kills the front Goblin
Team 4 kills the Mage Goblin (SChika needs to barrier here to survive enrage)
Team 5 chunks the boss
Team 6 kills the boss
Team 7 isn't needed (Because tbh I don't think team 7 will survive enrage very well)

If you want you can try running Yukari over Ames on the 3rd team (Not sure if that's enough healing at your level is all) and if that works run a borowed ames on the last team

I... don't remember if EX5 starts with full tp but I think they do, so no need to pre-charge tp

The mob stages are pulled randomly from Arena so can't really make teams for them, just don't let anyone die

The most I could clear was to take the last boss down to below 50%. So I feel I could clear it but just couldn't find the right comp

Mode 2 I cleared with almost 1 team (mage goblin had 1% left).
Mode 3, I cleared with 2 teams.

EX6 is interesting
It takes about as many teams as EX5 because you don't have the mode change resetting buffs

If you have good borrows available than it's doable, yes

You have Anemone so that chunks the boss in multi target mode

I might level a bit more, and Ideally would have Neneka
but you should be fine tbh
