Issues since i downloaded the nvidia studio driver

not sure if this is a playne bug or an nvidia bug or something. i installed the current studio driver a few days ago and now when trying to open playne, which was in borderless mode, both my monitors went black. i could see the game when pressing the windows key and had to navigate the game this way until i could change it to something else (everytime i tabbed back into the game the monitors went black again).. i have it on windowed mode now and i can see the game. full screen also makes the monitors go black.
windowed mode looks like in the picture for me. i can see the desktop on the side and can't move the window unless i change the settings again and then it gives me a window i can grab with the mouse and move around. it goes back to like it is in the screenshot next time i open playne though.

Sorry @ivory matrix - not sure why this is happening. did you try resetting the game settings?

how do i do this? is this verify integrity of game files?

Go to start > run and type in %localappdata%/PLAYNE/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor
Mac : /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/[game name]/MacNoEditor/Saved/Config

Delete the contents of this folder and restart the game

this should reset the game settings - 🤞 hopefully this will fix it for you

now i can't even set it to windowed mode anymore

i guess i deinstall the studio driver again. i just needed it to play minecraft via curseforge

@ivory matrix sorry to hear that 😦 I've tried to research this a bit and I can't figure out why this is happening. Could you give me more details about the studio driver you are using? I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix this for you, but i'll have a look!

something odd happening on my system indeed. i wanted to reinstall the graphics driver but it won't really let me uninstall this one. i pressed the button several times. then i just uninstalled geforce experience and restarted and tried playne and finally playne is working as intended.. not sure what is going on 😬
