For me, I find that playing this game is bad for my health - and so I keep my exposure to a minimum.
I pretty much only play SvR - or more or less used to play SvR (see above).
Since I have a high player level more often than not my experience of SvR is pretty bad. This because I care about the outcomes of matches, as well as my performance within those matches.
Win-loss rates are recorded even though my performance in a match, even though it can be decisive, is often insufficient to overrule the 47 other variables in the match. A situation compounded by the matchmaking system placing a hefty weight upon me and, by my reckoning, an insufficient weight upon low-ish level players, and especially pre-formed teams.
It is entirely possible to do all that one can to fill all the roles required of the mode - raising flags, defending flags, pushing fronts, harassing flanks, challenging mole, capturing the crate, and yet still losing out because the shortcomings of the other 23 variables on your team outweigh the good that you do in a match.
It is 'not' a good feeling to squeeze out a victory in spite of their failings when they very almost squander your good work.
It does 'not' feel good when a flow of friendly AIs manage to totally ignore the one flag that they were supposed to defend - converting a balanced or winning match into a losing one through no fault of your own. And getting that failure recorded on your record like it was your failing rather than the collective failing of the others 90++% of the time.
Not to mention that being overworked in most matches you are in also negatively impacts overall performance at times.
That's only too common an experience. It is stressful. It is the opposite of fun. And the other modes are not of interest.
Edit: Hamsterball racing is cool - but it is hamstrung by all the unnecessary wait times and requiring players to hit all checkpoints to end a match - easy fixes.
