#Question Regarding Super Animal Anatomy

i mean, we know that their vocal cords are at least different enough to make human speech impossible for the vast majority. plus, things like SAW-aligned super dogs being "distracted by super squirrels" implies that there's some level of instinctual carry-over from the template animal
so their brains are probably a bit different depending on species
(in all honesty, SAW security probably favors super dogs because dogs themselves are known for being loyal to humans...)
Yeah the instinctual behaviors are obvious
We know that aquatic super animals have lungs just like all the others, which in turn means super octopuses only need a single heart since their gills aren't used. I also vaguely recall ingame evidence that super avians can lay eggs, though I could be wrong.
But then I started wondering about other stuff we don't have clear cut answers for. Do all super animals have four-chambered mammalian hearts? Do some super animals have multiple stomachs (or crops or gizzards) like their real life counterparts? Are baby super animals even possible? I'm probably looking too deep (no pun intended), but hey, it's fun to theorize.
word of the developers is that super animals are physically sexless, so reproduction in that fashion would be impossible. the first super animals had regular animal surrogates (see: dr. dogna) so they were babies/children at one point
So they're canonically sexless then?
yeah
The NPCs have obvious genders, though perhaps their genders are purely mental/aesthetic
They have gendered voices as well
yeah, super animals have genders but it's mostly a matter of presentation, i guess?
I would assume so
I mainly ask because it kinda corresponds to my AU. My original idea was for a large amount of super animals not aligned with SAW or SASR to escape the island and start new lives elsewhere, and potentially have children to keep their settlement alive. Though if reproduction is impossible, I could easily come up with a workaround
Perhaps they could adopt their own generation/respawn system, making them technically immortal
Actually, that just made me realize something
Even if a super animal were to die outside the island, they'd be respawned back on the island
So in that case, it's probably safe to assume reproduction is impossible, because they wouldn't even need to
And thinking about it now, it was probably a deliberate choice by SAW to prevent certain "behaviors"
...which I will NOT elaborate lmao
dr. dogna implies they do re: the first skullcat, but the entire first skullcat thing is SAW propaganda so whoooo knooooows
