#[NPC] What are the Quests would you FOLKS like to get NERFED/Changed? (DISC)

After seeing the roadmap to address Quests Balancing;

Kind of figured that setting up a discussion on which one the community agreed being too much might have been the way instead of sending passive aggressive remarks. While I do understand that most of side-quests are not intended to be finished in a day; Most of these felt like padding CHORE, even from a wiki editor standpoint that haven't done this.
Also I would like to add that: Please LET US DO THE QUEST OUTSIDE OF BR / at our own pace (Don't time gate them).. :cc

    -# Reduce it by 50%, waiting for Rain RNG and requiring you to be in the lobby is already annoying enough as it is, imo.
  • Q8 Wander as Wide as Weirdo Would ||(Wander 50km in the lobby) (opt: With frends.)||
    -# Maybe half this too? Mayhaps ||25km|| would suffice .. what about those that plays alone?

    -# I'd highly suggest a NERF by doubling the distance, but ALLOW you to play ANY MODE /w Friends. (if the invisible stick remain as a reward).

    -# Halve this. RNG of Emu is already tedious.
    Possibly More Ideas to replace them.
  • E9 Emu There, Yet? (Ride someone else's emu and speedboost them for XY km)
  • E10 Emu-nity Time (Heal Emu for 500HP using Dart Gun in a game)

I would like to see General Macarfur's quest for ||five scout II flag captures|| made easier. It is way out of proportion with his other quests (so far as I've seen).

Open up more quests to not be royale locked - like murre's danger wander) and those quests will resolve themselves over time.

On the tine-gating, one way to mitigate this would be to allow NPCs to silently queue up a second quest in the event of quests that take more than one server reset cycle to resolve.

Quack shot and sgt bird dudes quest shouldnt have as many time gates, they are both the tutorial guys and as such should be free game.

Quack shots quest of shoot gallery target with x weapon becomes repetitive quickly. I think instead similar the tutorial he should sweep the player away and tell u info as u fight set enemies. For example a bcg charge shot going closer and longer, rebounding off of walls to hit someone along with over, and one for hitting multiple with a splash all done by hitting lined up enemies with a little slice of life plot ofcouse.

When it comes to quests an enhancement of old and a splash of new life for the new ones i imagine coming out later down the road (hopefully) would make the game really stand out imo.

Agreed. Not to mention, locking them into BR also causes massive burnout and unnecessary difficulty for weapons that are hard to find like BCG or Miniguns.
-# I would like to see something like the following too which tells you what the weapon GIMMICK is without having to read the wiki. But for now, remove the gate + BR restriction for those.

-# Halve this. This quest encourages griefing imo. The damage is too high where players would intentionally IDLE and wait for GSNM while not contributing half of the game. Thus ruining the already poor SvR team balance.

Hadn't thought of it myself, but I would love to be able to do any mode for quests. Obviously some quests (steal and tape an enemy armor or survive to final circle) will not be possible in anything other than Battle Royale, but the others are.

When handling quests like perfect legendary fish, gold/blackpearl i think a pop up coming up like

"Are you sure you want to sell this/donate? Someone might wanna see this later"

I have no clue what the design of that is, since it comes with "To Ammo Mucho" which Sledison tells you that you can load more ammo and grenades, thus you should try to do that whenever you are hoarding bandolier.

No clue if they were implying you should use minigun or something like that. They never really mentioned stuff like HR or Sparrow-type went from GREAT but RISKY to INSANE.

@glacial solar True, but I'm mainly interested in the design standpoint there. Other NPCs do guide you explicitly too on what to do. i.e. NPC RuffBark has with blurb iirc
Get lucky ... jump back into SvR but don't return until your team has won. Do you understand?
Which kind of implies the designed goal behind it ... being to just get lucky. That is it. The quest is designed be somewhat RNG instead of worth anything (intended to give you any info on e.g. how the Matchmaker works or anything).

Unless I completely misunderstood what Thomas meant when they told you about the Bandolier gimmick.

Not to sure about the bandoiler part here. The functions of the bandoiler is just hold more max resources and reload faster with all guns.

The part about svr to me isnt reliant on luck as a squads skill can definitely even out a bad odds game.

On a avg skill lvl game with no direction, yeah it can be rough. I haven't been to terribly curve stomped but winning can be a challenge if ur solo queing into svr. I think its common for players to overextend in that mod espeically instead of holding flags. Umbrathink

That said a really well tuned squad could dominate with just 4 members given a solid strategy
