Crosshair Color Change

While Yolomouse is the option for players to customize their cursor, this only works for mouse aim and it's only for PC, console players are left out. This is an issue when considering that, while the default cursor is nice, people have issues with visibility in areas such as the snow for example.

I'd love for the game to let you change the color of your crosshair. It doesn't needs to be as complex as Yolomouse, just let you change colors and that's it, similar to TF2 for example.

modding is not permitted in sar
yolomouse is the program that allows for changing crosshairs without breaking any rules since its just a universal mouse change for the pc
however it only works for mouse not controller

I'd love to see a more visible cursor. My eyes aren't great and I lose the crosshairs pretty often. (Doesn't matter so much when I'm playing pacifist, but still.)

this is a good idea but it would kinda ruin my idea which is for the crosshair to turn red when aiming directly at an opponent but either way i'd be happy <3

if you customized the color of your crosshair say you changed it to red, for my suggestion that i mentioned to work it would have to be a different color than the one that you would have equipped so actually that wouldn't be a problem i just realized

I don't think aiming directly at an opponent is actually that useful:

1. Some weapons don't fire directly where you're aiming, and
2. Unless your target is stationary or moving in a straight line towards or away from you, instead of firing at where they are, you really need to fire at where they will be.

What is yolo mouse? I have vision issues and white crosshairs are not very visable to me ------- and are we looking at being able to customize the RGB of the crosshair in the game in a future QOL update?

Yolomouse is a program that allows you to replace your mouse cursor with anything you want from different shapes and colors
This is not compatible with controllers in sar which is why native customization in the game is still being requested

and yes 100% this should be an in game feature for the controller peeps -------- but if there is a workaround in the meantime, i will be 100% appreciating that

so how does yolo mouse change the color for the game????? I also checked windows and on 10 i could easily go high contrast giant yellow cursor now I can't do anything but invert white to black 😄

yolo mouse is like an overlay for your mouse
so it goes on top of every other program so your cursor is always whatever you set it to in yolo mouse

I just downloaded an older version of YOLOMOUSE - it is SOOOOOOOO much better with different colors and styles i can actually hit my shots now 😉

I've heard this suggestion being passed around since 2019 --------- where are the devs on this feature?

I think YoloMouse works if u connect a controller to your steam pc, I might be wrong tho :3

it would just act as a mouse controlled by a joystick
and you lose the 360° movement that controllers have since sar dosent play nice with using a controller and keyboard at the same time

This is an amazing idea! I play on PC, and YoloMouse does not work for me.. I would love to have a pink crosshair instead of the white one! I also don't like any of the yolomouse crosshairs they have, and everytime I try to upload a custom one it NEVER works!
