So I don't know if everyone familiar with Sexton vs The Team from TF2 however the concept is familiar I Indredruce you The Secretary Bird a Bird that eats Venomous Snakes and hunting them by kicking their head until their heads break

So I thought why not include this bird in the game in a form of a boss battle but instead of 2 teams hunting it only one team fight it the boss is controlled by player (or Ai if the creator wants to put The Mole Ai in something else) its abilities including kicking flying around in short terms and eating people whole sort of like a T Rex with wings there be no grenades just common weapons of course there would be hidden chests that have legendary weapons how people start off with some common weapons that we normally find.

Check out this video from this search, secretary bird https://share.google/Ax82zBG7cAW3Gpa3O

Appearance
What is a Secretary Bird?
The Secretary bird is a bird of prey, but unlike other raptors it has long legs, wings and a tail. The single species of its family, the bird gets its name from its crest of long feathers that look like the quill pens 19th century office workers used to tuck behind their ears. The bird is basically dove-grey ...

I'm unsure if this could work well in a game like SAR, but I'm down to try it out.

The biggest concern is additional smaller game modes on top of the small community. The Verses Saxton Hale game mode on TF2 isn't too big and servers aren't always fully populated.

This idea also runs into the ‘there’s not a large enough playerbase to be splitting it further’ issue that affects every gamemode suggestion, unfortunately.

Somewhat tangental but secretary birds should be a playable super animal… maybe a peacock variant

I'm afraid just like in tf2, this would realistically never work. SaR lacks the class variety, map design variety -- nor the complex movement that allows non AI PvE to be any fun atm.

Not only that, even in PvE case scenario vs some kind of raid enemy; I'm concerned of how it would ended up being uninteresting slog like how your typical Dont Starve boss is (Just kite it for 5 minutes zzz) which would make it a lot more uninteresting for a mode, imo.

Not to mention, beyond the first time novelty .. once the strat is figured out, it gets frustrating due to the Skill GAP if anything. You would see a lot of people would rather grief their own team by dancing in some corner of the map (Please check SvR, the issue is prevalent even in this game).

Stuff like PvE conquest-like mode would prolly work better.
Also tl;dr there are lot of other issues with this.

  1. Spectator downtime (on death is already bad enough as it is).
  2. How would HP scaling work? Current GSNMole has this issue on lower player count imo.
  3. Slippery slope on balancing (Esp if it were to be an AI -- It is hard to design something that is engaging for both lower & higher player count without having it being super boring and or frustrating).
  4. Obvious pacing issues having players walk thru the 2.5d arena; literal griefing as I mentioned earlier too.
  5. Lastly no incentive to keep this mode around if it doesn't attract players for the long run.
5a. If anything, it should just be kept as Priv. MM and that's it. The player count split would hurt the main mode.

The movements are ok right now

#

However what i am worried about that people have to wait very long

#

Because of team looting

#

So I thought why not after you die you get a measurement of how much damage you did to the boss (similar to SR Vs SAW mode)

#

Then you good to go

#

Also I never played don't starve to death so I don't know what you mean

#

What i do know is Elder bosses that one shot you if you don't roll enough

#

Also I think we should be able to help with this idea by expanding on it with other ideas

#

Because if only one person working on its going to be years to finish it to perfection

#

While I don't think low players are problem as I like horror and its would be horrific to have seen your ally eaten alive as you roll as fast as you not to be eaten

secretive birb as an alternate boss in SvR, though, could work❕ might be fun to not have a stationary boss that can chase you down during battle

Absolutely have a boss fight mode.

I like the idea of a boss that surfaces for a certain amount of time, then will pop up elsewhere on the map for you to fight some more.  Like the star nosed mole but tougher.

Map size shouldn't be the limitation, so much as how far the boss goes each time it runs.  It needs to move to one of the predefined spots within a set range of the last spot.
