#Create a meta in weapons

time to say the phrase again
sar's main praise is it not being as competitive as other big-name BRs, being able to be good with and main any weapon adds to the fun
having your main be nerfed would force you to try other weapons (which isn't fun if its not done at your own pace), and winning every game with, say, an ak, wouldn't be fun either
i dont mean pro meta i mezn some balancing
with nerfing op weapons like minigun or buffing some over the time with a liitle change
Honestly the minigun is already in a fair spot, especially for people who already seen minigun a lot
It has its counters with snipers and hunting rifles
ok tbf minigun is counteredby snipers only if the sniper have god movement
Snipers really don’t require “movement”
I countered a minigun user by literally just standing behind a rock for 5 seconds
IIf the minigun user is dumb then u caneasily couunter him
if you use obstacles to your advantage then minigun users can't do anything
same with superite
but whe. Its endgame and its opened u need moves
if you have nades, bananas, or skunk bombs you can trip them up quite easily
since holding minigun makes you extremely slow
Not quite since minigun has a wind time, so during that period you could get a free snipe on them, usually almost every minigun player falls back after their amour breaks
Makes for free chases
Rifles in SAR are such that they suffer little downside in close quarters - provided that the weapon they are paired with is also used.
Even their movement downside is less relevant when one can switch for evasion.
Minigun and superite, having a wind-up time, are the only weapons that are more tricky to switch out from and in to for performance purposes.
Assuming you correctly predict when they're going to wind up.
Which is most of the time
Plus their movement speed is super slow when shooting compared to when you of course have cover and a hunting rifle and sniper to easily shoot them while staying and rolling into cover
...so inversely, you're incapable of being unpredictable with winding up a minigun?
Also this all revolves around the punishability of minigun. In squads it's okay to be punishable if it allows your teammates greater freedom to make risky moves.
Honestly I find the weapons to be in a reasonable state of balance- sure you have weapons that people tend to use more than others, but it ends up being about how one prefers to play.
