Lv 181 ： 3）Battle Arts - Boss Rush

Ark was released on KMSM in January 2022, and this is the recommended order they concluded throughout time^

I just asked KMSM Ark players why they lvl up Encroachment,

the reason is they use “Master Corruption” to shift into Specter State before using skills that auto-shifts you into Specter State (170 Hyper, Blissful Restraint, Creeping Terror) to get that extra 10% Spectra recovery, this allows you to stay in Specter State longer to maximize damage output

Save mesos and try to get your overall to SF18. Then upgrade it with the stones. Exp gear isn't BIS, but it's best for new F2P players because you literally level faster. Also overall gives the most HP when upgraded, but you want to pump up the star force first before going into legendary because of repairing reasons

TBH, if you're concerned about SF cost, you're probably not exalting your gear, which makes higher SF maps unplayable as well

SF 180+ needs you to have at least 30k def to survive for the usual players, and that comes from SF, exalt and emblem bonus

Like my ark is running 180/184 with 20k def partly because I use a soul that adds HP (not recommended lol), and I have a bunch of link skills that add HP and EVD on top of legion stats.

I think the worst part about those stats is just that they cost 50m minimum, and the more you lvl them up the more expensive they get. The mesos could just be used to buy better items that give more stats than whatever the hyper stats give

That's the thing. The so called 'perfect class' doesnt mean everyone will hop on it. I dont even play paladin despite knowing how well the class do nowadays.
Players expected a lot from Ark because they thought they can abuse Spectre form in the pre-200, thus I can see why most of them are disappointed by it because being able to stay in Spectre form = increases all the dmg dealing + survival chance in higher sf map.
All that aside, painting Ark as a weak class on post-200 without understanding the core of the class's kits is just unfair and misleading to players who are main as Ark.
Just trying to be fair to both sides here. After all, there are many classes out there, if Ark isn't up to their expectation they are free to go for another one.

Def still has some use in specific contents. It’s not entirely useless. The real useless stat is HP/MP recovery increase.

Def does help to mitigate touch damage and mob attacks inside higher level SF and AF maps.

Last i tested, even a 5000 def increase made no difference on how much touch damage i took from SF180

You will still need to properly synergize that with Phy/Mag def increase stats

Which can be obtained via SF liberation and boss set effects

To jump immediately to SF180 for a new character with just cut gears will lead very unstable party survivability results unless you have a dedicated fp that can kill the mobs fast for you.

By right these kind of high SF maps require abit of “progression” first (Acquiring boss sets, high legion levels, ready made link skills) before you can SF safely inside these maps. The only outlier is that your cut gears are already lvl 40 ancient or mythic emblem gears for those very brittle classes.

Make sure to join at hot time (12pm-1pm and 8pm-9pm for weekdays. extra 4pm-5pm on weekend). As for chaos exped, You can do it during hot time OR usually 5-10mins before server reset at 12am, there will be tons of people rushing to complete it. (also at the same time, you can rush your new day chaos exped right on 12am so you can chill until next reset)

I could give you the benefit of the doubt and compare it to a 18% FD soul if you really want to give this any real thought for a second

This is true, but doesn't apply to all situations where spending actual mesos are involved. There are no actionable damage increasing solutions that will help kill mobs fast enough to effect survivability that don't cost billions of mesos

My suggestion is just practical advice that seems to work for me without spending more than 25m

We can pull out damage calcs too put dps doesn't translate to mobs in the same way, you have to look at damage per individual skill cast. Usually what you're looking for in kill speed is to get it down to one less animation/per kill on average to effect survivability in any meaningful way
