As it seems burst astra didn’t got his iframe removed ,
And just got buffed so you can use Red astra to tank the dmg in lotus and still do good dmg .
Seems like this will be the play style,

in lotus u can lock it in p2/3 but totally a personal preference. In ark, our team just go free style but in theory, not locking can give u max dps if u have like a super quick reaction doing burst shield and deluge AA without hesitations

U just need to make sure when u press aa, it is always deluge. Otherwise, u will miss some dmg. If that happens just skip it and go back to the BDG combo

Also, pay attention to the gauge on the top left corner. Aa will immediately stop if the gauge is empty

obviously solo , there's no point in watching lotus party (pf). I personally was able to make it to phase 3 and did around 70% damage before i died. I can give some advices.

1. Nova blast can be used as a iframe against laser, but only when the lasers moves quickly after halfway through lotus hp. 2 ) Obsidian Barrier can be placed in the middle, and inside it, you can move with Cardinal Torrent through the laser, shot will take most of hp, but you survive. 3) Use preset(P) Fury of the Wild \ Nova blast 4) use Vicious shot , its helpful 5) Most of damage pf will do with Fury of the Wild Tempest (additional function) 6) You need to max (Nova blast) + (Obsidian Barrier) + (Fury of the Wild Tempest) this way "none whale" pf can manage it.

I would recommend not to lock any mode as all three modes are useful in both solo/multi lotus.
For p1 use burst v3 for dps and torrent AA for movement without losing dps. Save v1 for iframe if you’re not confident to perfectly use all portals.

In p3, use deluge AA for dps. Burst v3 provides dps and blocks lotus push back attack, and reduces damage from fireballs, trains.

You can refer to my multi lotus video, everything should be applicable to solo

U can put burst and deluge (extrude glyph), V1 and V2 with toggle off, so the tornado can last longer. Put v3 on if u think u or ur teammate are having hard time to stay alive, which means u can set it to deluge mode. Don’t need 170 either

The whole PF play style is a bit different if it’s burst timing the new skill, changes of lines or the new preset thing

Ench why I got deluge skill on my skill wheel so i can press it to luck AA on deluge mode

I believe it's the way the skill button is now, this patch allows you to press n hold to atk. So you can turn the feature off in the Settings/Game/Play (Skill Button Consecutive Use)

but until now i used Blue Relic Unbound for bossing should i try the Red one as well? According to this stats Red looks more decent but I didn’t tryed it yet.

U can go to the fog and test out the line but blue will give u more like for bossing as the attack speed is way quicker. Red has lots of count but shooting really slow u may get 1/2 arrows out out of the 10s

Do yall still have glyph in your boost nodes?

After the patch, with a higher focus on v skills for dpm, I'm considering taking it out of my boost nodes.

Currently run 3 boost nodes at 25+5. Deluge, burst, AA, and glyph lvl 60 and raven lvl 20

Thinking of moving to 2 nodes at lvl 25+5 with lvl 60 deluge, burst, and AA

It wound free up a node slot and 5 slot points

Certainly would keep glyph in the skill rotation for extra lines, but the damage is pretty insignificant overall. My runs have been around 2% of total dps which seems consistent with madeit battle analysis too

Personally having glyph at lvl 60 helps a bit as in FD and PD% the skills adds has a boost node.

If taking anything out I do think taking out green arrow or common archer v3 has their damage additional is kinda low.

Slot enhancement should be used (as far as I tested) on boost nodes, raven tempest and relic unbound (v4) and nova blast

So taking that boost node out might cause damage loss

I'm just not a high enough lvl to have enough slot enhancements for 3 boost nodes and 3 v skills

So the extra dmg I can get from a stronger v4 might be more than from a stronger glyph.

On your run glyph did <2% of your overall damage. V4 did 11% and you weren't capping it yet

Taking out glyph node did give me slightly more dps 2.2b vs 2.13b. And 9b more total damage on a 2 minute run

7b more with relic unbound (from +5 slot enhancement) vs 2b less on glyph

I'm not capping all my lines, unfortunately, (lvl 50 necro bow, 31m MDC) but the min damage on my run without glyph was higher. Likely from extra buff with vicious shot.

I might see greater benefits on longer boss runs where I can use v4 more than once. Plus more rounds of tempest, AA, nova would add up too

The only thing I'd say is once you're lvl 230+, you'd likely have enough node slots to equip 3 perfect trios + buff nodes, as well as enough slot enhancement for 3 perfect trios and v skills

Also did a solo lotus run (I got bishop buffs before starting, but v matrix was otherwise same as above). Looks like I capped all lines with the extra bishop buffs. Would need more tests to tell if I'd still cap without vicious shot and +5 on v4. And if I were to cap everything without those, then extra glyph damage may be better

Tbh glyph always felt unnecessarily in this class rotation it’s also slow down our main preset while not doing that big of a dmg.
And 15 sec cooldown.
They should make glyph a iframe with 2-3 sec duration like hero and other classes who have 15 sec iframe while all our iframes are 1min+

Also feels to me like our V4 is shii compared to other classes hehehe I prefer pf before patch xD

I would keep it in the rotation. It's free lines.

You may want to consider taking it out of your boost nodes for now so you can increase v4 damage with the extra slot enhancement points and extra node slot for buffs

However, if you're already a higher level (prob 225+), have lvl 25 v4, or already capping all other skills, then glyph boost node would help more for dps.
For me right now, I'm trying to prioritize my v skills as it's a higher increase in damage

V4 actually is pretty good once you get some levels into it. I didn't like it at first, but now I cap all lines on bosses at lvl 10+5 and it's one of my top dps skills. Plus you set it and forget it while you run other skills. It's just gotta get high enough level to hit hard

Ideally you'd have boost nodes for deluge, burst, glyph, and AA.
I used to have those at lvl 60 with three nodes lvl 25+5
After v4 update I switched up to just two nodes 25+5 for burst, deluge, and AA so I could put the extra slot enhancement points into v4 and the extra node slot has been useful

After lvl 230 I'll probably go back to three boost nodes for the little extra damage from glyph, but I get more dps now from reallocating that node slot and points

It's still extra lines = more dps. It's only like 1-2% of my total DPS but extra damage is extra damage. It casts like immediately and doesn't really affect speed of burst/deluge chain. It's been a while since I did a training ground test, but it did increase my DPS having burst/deluge/glyph preset vs burst/deluge only

No, your v skills (nova blast, tempest, relic unbound) are going to give you the highest damage. V3 is a good utility skill for 40% all damage reduction or invincibility to normal attacks depending if you're on deluge or burst

I think you need fury of the wild equipped though to toggle the extra option for raven tempest and keep it fury of the wild tempest

Depending on the preset you have for your skill wheel. You have three skill types deluge, burst and torrent. If you attack with deluge the meter will turn blue. Burst will turn purple. Torrent will be yellow. Depending on the color you are in gives a special activation for other skills you use. Like lvl 170 Astra burst. V3 shield, etc. There is also a skill that can lock it to a specific one. For example I will lock it to blue to use my lvl 170 skill for biggest damage potential.

If it's on a preset then it'll always be fury of the wild Tempest for bossing. Then for training can use regular tempest

Save exp nodes for your v skills. Boost nodes will be easier to level up initially.

If you have the meso I'd recommend unlocking at least 2 more node slots. One for v1 skill (nova blast) and the other for rope lift (great for AB)
V3 skill is useful but maybe not so much early on as the others

Just always remember that your gauge needs to be full when using some attack. So keep that in mind. You can chain all your skills but you need to get some attacks in. Which charges your relic. You also have a skills that fills your relic automatically.

Max your nodes out. Most of your dps comes from your vskills.

With that being said, glyph might not seem like alot. But when your applying dps with your main dps skills set, that’s extra dmg and depending on how long the boss takes, that’s extra could add up and make the difference

With the amount of matrix slots we have now, there really isnt so much importance to prioritize perfect trios anymore. Just slap as many trios as you can that prioritize deluge, burst and astral arrow. Which ofc are the perfect trios. Eventually you will put almost all skills and get all maxed.

Oh 100%, and the best benefit to burst mode AA is the damage reduction. Too bad the damage is really awful compared to AA deluge mode.

On Maple PC Pathfinder it does exactly this. The cardinal burst -> deluge macro actually reduces your cooldown of AA by 1 second per use of that macro, allowing you to spam it quite a bit even though it's only useful in burst mode

By that you can have around 10k mobs per hour

It's also weird to me how in autobattle, it'll use torrent/deluge AA for 0.5 seconds as if it weren't a held skill, but it uses the entire duration of Burst every time even if there's no enemies in range (I wish I could adjust the angle in AB without it canceling the skill)

BDG is the cause of most leakage on GMS. That's why we use BDCG there to cause intentional leakage since CA resets relic. Guidance here is different (as are many skills) vs GMS so regulating relic charge isn't something to worry about - we can't reactivate in buff window etc.

Glyph only becomes important damage at like M3. It's extra lines until then but shouldn't be real damage for you.

CA on the other hand is way more important here. It's really your only way to proc debuff (we don't have debuff in GMS anymore) unless you burn torrent stacks.

Locking on a specific relic for bossing imo isn’t smart, you lose damage by doing so, for relic unbound and AA you want deluge, for barrier on some bosses you’ll want to use burst and for some deluge (vhilla for example)

When you farm you do want to lock it on torrent mode and use:

Will skill
Relic unbound
Nova blast
Tempest tornado
V6

By so you should be doing around 11k kills per hour

For a 2nd main? Probably not. You'll get more use out of a class like Erel or Iel if you took advantage of the burning event that took place. Erel is a burst focused class from what I've experienced and has great mobbing capability. Iel had a massive jump start getting you to 230 and at least unlocking all of your AF symbols, plus her mobbing is pretty good too

PF has a "unique" playstyle, with some good mobility options but minimal iframe capabilities. There's a mini iframe thats somewhat spammable with the BD macro that can be used for some boss cheese strats.

Damage is good once you get your gears rolling though

Hey yall!! I've been doing some bossing with my post-200 pf, and now I'm seeing the complexity of the gauge level management. All of the v-skills cost relic gauge, has anyone figured out the proper skill use order to maximize dps?

I've got a lot of experimentation ahead if I want to figure out the correct order. We have to consider the hyper skill that maxes the gauge and gives a big damage buff, but we can only use either 2 or 3 vskills before the gauge empties. Do I use AA to empty the gauge the first time, and then spam vskills right after filling the gauge, or use one or two of them before refilling, or throw in some burst/deluge basic attacks to refill it somewhere?

I suspect the skill preset expansion helps us a ton

Any tips for fighting gloom with this class? I have a hard time with the monster spawning and tornado attack (with the single pillar). I use Nova blast when the horizontal pillars come out.

Just via theory (tests look good so far), I've developed what should be the ideal skill order.
Assuming you're locked to deluge:
Barrier > Nova > Awakened Relic > Unbound > Tempest > Astra > BD Macro the rest of the way
(If you have origin, it goes right between Tempest and Astra. The origin skill doesn't cost relic, does it?)

Reasoning:

1. Barrier boosts all damage after activation and lets you use your burst more safely, goes first
2. The next v-skill you use will empty your relic gauge. Nova does the least single target damage out of all of them, so it loses the least from Awakened's damage buff
3. Relic gauge is zero. Awakened relic here manually will let you use your burst faster than recharging with b/d macro
4. Relic Unbound gives you the most lines. Using it immediately after Unbound and within Barrier's timer allows for the most damage gains, and provides passive dps while you use Astra later on
5. Tempest is good passive dps, again within the buff timers and freeing your hands for Astra
6. Ancient Astra full duration, very big damage when fully buffed
7. No more cooldowns! B/D macro should include Glyph ofc since I proved it can only increase your dps, I did quick tests with the other unused Force skills and their use time kills dps and they're not worth it.
   Now, for the Ancient Curse test data, all stacks applied with Cardinal Torrent itself immediately, before using burst but not refreshing it:

Tldr for curse stacks: They all fall between 3.56-3.60b damage, they really don't matter for solo bossing.

Safe to assume the more people in your party, the more beneficial it may be to try and use torrent stacks well to debuff the boss, or try to combo assault to max stacks immediately. You could also make a separate macro that weaves torrent in with burst and deluge, due to a passive we get at 4th job that makes burst/deluge inflict the curse debuff at a 90% chance after every torrent use.

If you want to use an unlocked relic and swap between different relics for the different barriers, make separate presets that make you use the relevant cardinal skill right before barrier/combo assault/whichever skill you're looking to pick a relic type for. If you follow my "ideal burst dps" skill order and put that all in one preset, we only need 4 buttons total: That burst preset, b/d/glyph preset, torrent for mobility, and triple impact for iframe. Pathfinder is a "can use type A skill wheel" job!

If you read my breakdown up above, that's some philosophy on why I think that order works best for pure dpm

I don't use presets minus Burst->Deluge macro

Locked to deluge, I usually go with Barrier > Unbound > Arachnid Reflection > Tempest > Nova > Astra > Origin > BD. This way I never run out of gauge completely since tempest restores gauge on hit too.

Unbound, Will skill, and obsidian barrier all come off cooldown every other burst (Tempest, Nova, and Astra due to them having 60s cooldown and Barrier/Unbound/Will being 120s) and you are iFramed for almost the entire duration of AA. This also lets you spam BD while all of your other skills are on cooldown which is enhanced for 30s after your origin.

I'm thinking this combo works best if you auto-buff Awakened Relic, and especially if you want to save Nova for use as an iframe. Not being able to rely on Awakened Relic to recharge the gauge does mean you'd need to rely on Tempest's gauge regen, and yeah, you can either guarantee an iframed Astra, or try and save it for a nuke (idk whether bosses past Ark tend to use instadeath nuke attacks immediately)

If you do tend to use that same combo every time, though, why not preset it all so you can just hold down the button and always get the minimal delay between each skill usage? Lol

^ oh and put Glyph in your BD Macro, you're losing dps by not having it, msm doesn't have the same delay issue as gms

You can quickly test by comparing two runs with and without it in Fog, my test data is above somewhere

99% of bosses past Ark dont use a FMA insta-kill besides Will, and even then it's pretty difficult to actually die to it unless you don't know what you're doing

I originally started on PC maple, where you cant use any skills with a cooldown as a macro. And the only skills that qualified were burst and deluge, so it's what im most comfortable with. Plus I dont like having the option of being able to save my skills for when they'd be the most potent in case the boss you're fighting iFrames (which is basically every boss starting with Damien)

Biggest problem with that is either the boss you're fighting is mobile or you are mobile. With glyph being close range a lot of the time it completely misses and it's a loss in DPS since it delays your BD macro every time you cast it

So uh, I just tested this. First pic was b/d macro with glyph out of hit range (bird did more damage than glyph, it would've shown as the last one on the list if I were in range), 2nd was b/d macro without glyph entirely: Glyph does NOT delay the BD macro

Use counts and hit counts are the same (hit counts +-4 or so due to rng), so that is actually wrong, glyph has NO effect on the use time or speed of b/d

However. What it DOES do, even out of range, is proc Guidance of the Ancients, which is a 15% FD increase for 30 seconds each time you fill the relic gauge (since Glyph empties it). I wanna say the cooldown on this is like 40 seconds, so it'll proc between your burst cycles maybe probably, this is also why the first test with Glyph had a higher total damage, the 2nd test wasn't able to proc this

lemme see what the actual cooldown is, though, since the skills page doesn't say

I JUST discovered what the purple ring around your relic gauge means. THAT'S actually the meter for Guidance of the Ancients.
This purple ring can only fill up when GoA is not active, and it fills up 1/8th every time Glyph goes off, glyph costs 100 relic gauge, thereby every time you refill the relic gauge 800 units it activates

So effectively it has no cooldown - Just the time between it deactivating and the time you can spend enough relic to recharge it by 800 units

Eh, sometimes. Damien whenever he's in the air is invulnerable (not the case in PC Maple), Lucid when she's doing her special attacks in P2 is as well. Gloom is after DPS phase when casting beam, Will whenever he warps periodically and during test phases, VHilla when she warps/FMA's and Archon during his FMA's phase swap / Azazelle during flowers in P1 and pretty constant during p2

Eventually I'll get there 😂 My iel can probably get 2% in lotus. Bad necro luck is such a gatekeeper for me, I'm really hoping I'll hit necro on my PF and surpass my Iel purely through equips
