No they’re bad, what i mean is the damage is SO LOW that if we were in school learning about Significant Digits- purple rockets’ damage would be discarded

This is one of my last Fog training grounds analyses. Purple rockets come in at 900m damage…out of 108.46b damage.

Another way to look at it:
A) Addl Attack (hyper stat) is almost 5x purple rockets.
B) Purple rockets are <1% our total damage
C) purple rockets are almost equal to putting your soul attack on your preset: if you haven’t done this, it’s as if you left purple rockets off too

D) orbital cataclysm is an iframe skill- keep it handy to have a way of escaping damage/death- it doesn’t do much damage and isn’t worth using just to “increase” other dps

E) blue rockets are 6x! Purple rockets. (If i did not have them in my trios, probably would be about 3-4x purple rockets)

F) Triangulation is 9x! Purple rockets

G) 81% of our damage is our v skills, snipe, and Triangulation

H) 15% of our damage is hypogram, addl atk hyper stat, and blue rocket

I) 96% of our damage is G and H. Let that sink in.

J) Resistance infantry is 2% of our damage- but hey having another item to auto attack without us being there is great

K) 2% of damage is purple rockets and soul/venom burst. Don’t spend a fortune on improving these, they’re just not worth it

L) Don’t forget to enhance Core Overload! Notice, it is a huge damage boost - almost as much as omega blaster!

Well my way of playing is often using all the V skill i have and Dot skills simultaneously at the beginning like setting up hypogram field and resistance army before the boss starts to push out as much dps as possible. Because during overload core all your skills also get a boost from the added FD

Think I managed to get 80B dpm with 16.9m cap in ark

That’s correct! Full core overload is +20% fd and around +400 PA, so it’s a good boost! If you can really amp up your MP you can make it last a long time too

The core overload made my mana empty during commander boss that I cannot used any skill after that and just wait for elixir cooldown. Anyone has a solution ?

For those cases, when your mp is about to deplete to 0, make sure your hp is above the % to use your pots (like above 50% if you selected 50%). And if you’re close to that %, stay away from boss attacks until your elixir is used after mp hits 0

That’s the only workaround i know unless anyone has a better idea

Yeah the issue is how nexon implements pet potions. It will ALWAYS do hp potion first, even if you need MP more

So you have two options

1. put HP pet option down to 50%, which will help but not completely eliminate the issue
2. only have mp potions on pets and manually do all HP potions

That’s the only way to avoid the bug

and Use “Last Resort” as possible as? I see you set it in preset

With xenon you benefit from careful control of your energy wheel. When you put amaranth generator on pet, it might get used when you have a full wheel, which wastes the time and cooldown. Also if you put emergency resupply on pet it too can get completely wasted by being used with a full wheel. Keeping control over when to refill (and with which skill) helps maintain the most energy bars for the longest time

Venom burst as a skill is exceptionally minimal damage. It is on my vmatrix so I get the DOT but it’s not worth using a slot for.

Last resort…is in the preset because there’s nothing else to put there. Honestly I don’t believe it’s worth much.

And that won’t do you any benefit.

(And your goal should be to be BEYOND capping if you’re in Damien)

My mdc is 30,7m with guild attributes finished and I cap with food buff 30’s- literally anything beyond that provides such limited dps benefit that it’s not worth having anything other than another DOT or standalone skill out there adding lines

One additional note to amaranth- our energy wheel recovers crazy fast if you have fair trade on- extra benefit for xenon due to the “if you’re hurt get a chance to recover energy” mechanism. Saving amaranth for when you’re going to burst and need max energy (especially after using core overload) can get you much better dps

And yes Fair Trade is the skill to have

Maximizing your critical hits to 100% is a hyuge bonus to your dps. Yes, there is the 2.5k hp per second penalty, so you will likely want elixirs on while you use it

lol in many maps the vertical aoe for snipe is really good for mobbing (exception being maps like sf194). The problem for most people with bombarding and bombardment will be that they won’t 1-hit kill enemies. When you’re training you really want to maximize enemies/minute and mobility to gather drops. If you’re not killing enemies in 1 hit, you get much slower and your results get much worse. Snipe is our #1 damage dealer and will help weaker characters kill faster.

It’s also important for survivability once you get to harder sf and af maps: if you don’t kill in 1 hit you let enemies attack you: so you’ll die more

Stats wise

Cape and belt can be last

Shoulder is important for PA flames

But potentials and flames are not split in half- they’re full powered

So going to overall you lose 3 potentials AND 2 flames AND 10 stars

That’s a lot to lose

So it really only kinda balances out at absolab overall…but honestly I wouldn’t even bother until you’ve done almost everything else

Lvl 40+ top and bottom with perfect flames and potentials will do you just fine for a long time

But when u use venom burst u also get the explosion dmg which gives 4 hits continuously over time. So might be a better choice to put in place of last resort? i have the skill on a preset with the hypogram field so it saves me time pressing the button since i usually stand close to put up the hypogram field

So you can actually just equip venom burst and you’ll get the poison dot

That 4 hits

Using the skill itself just adds a one time explosion attack

But yeah you don’t have to have it on your wheel to get the dot

Yes i knew the poison Dot works even if u dont use/equip it on the skill wheel but the venom Dot is seperate from the explosion dmg and using the skill also does dmg and 8 hits

Its a venom debuff and explosion poison dmg

It also has different skill dmg and both a a duration

So could be your missing out on valuable dot! 😱

It is a problem, a bunch of us xenon have been asking nexon to change the way core overload works because of that bug

You can lower your HP pet use to 50% and see if that helps reduce the number of times you get stuck, but it will likely still happen

Adding more MP can help too

With this patch they changed basically all 3 minute cooldowns to 2 minute cooldowns. If you want to get a realistic view of overall capability you gotta test 1 full rotation which is now 2 minutes

Say for example 2 classes do 22k lines in 3 minutes. 1 of the classes does the same amount of lines every minute aka 7.33333k lines per minute, and 1 class has 1 minute of 9k lines and then another minute of 4k lines

You’ll mainly use Mecha Purge: Snipe for mobbing and AB. Its best for OHKOing mobs and has a high vertical hit box allowing you to hit mobs on higher platforms.

You’ll also want hypogram: penetrate because of the more lines it can dish out

I was wondering if any of my fellow Xenons here have been able to clear Mu Lung 45? I’m currently stuck on 44. Wanted to see if anyone had any tips. I really want that 50% emblem change scroll, considering i failed the 30% :/

Best tip is don’t rush it.

You’ll need to jump far right or far left and attack until it gets close enough to you to start its attacking animation. You’ll want to watch out for the DR animation so don’t go crazy attacking too much.

Id suggest using Stun along with V1 to avoid dying right out of v1 animation to a avoid a poorly timed attack

For floor 44, i usually stun her immediately. Take your time using snipe, use any v skills except v1, and once she’s not stunned anymore use v1 (this is more for the iframe). You want to try to survive as long as you can with floor 44 boss since shes hard to burst down, and those tornados are random.

After you use v1, basically you gotta try to attack and survive the tornadoes. I use iframe to avoid it so use either orbital or temporal pod (this works well if you have v3 up so it shoots missiles still)

I’m only replying to agree with Dec’s approach, that’s what I do too, almost exactly (OMG DEC TWINSIES)

The stun+v1 Sen mentions I want to make sure you understand that means EXACTLY stun then IMMEDIATELY v1- stun is 10s and fully stacked v1 is 9s- if you take ANY time between stun and v1 the combo is worthless and you’d be better off stunning, attacking regular for 10s, then using v1 once she is unstunned

Appreciate all the advice! For the most part getting through lvl 43 has proved to be rather difficult for me. When I do get to 44, my stun is still on cooldown and I’m basically doomed from the start. I have to practice more.

I’ll be honest if you NEED all 3 in 43 then you’re just not ready for 44+45 and you shouldn’t take it as a failure/personal skill issue: you’re just not doing the dps you need to at that point.

Perfect trios should be blue rockets, snipe, triangulation, and hypogram field

And the only “combo” xenon has is stacking 10 snipe hits before using Omega Blaster

I recommend also doing core overload and then using emergency resupply to keep it high

Put V2->amaranth-> emergency supply into a single preset - this makes it so that v2 increases your supply limited to 40, amaranth recovers 20, then e-supply recovers another 15 so you should be maxed out after using all the skills in succession

Put snipe->snipe->snipe -> V4 as another preset. Basically you won’t have to think about when to initiate v4, you will just end up pressing it whenever the cd is done

If you’re looking for a high-line, low-funding class, then xen isn’t it. But its dynamic, has lots of utilities post-lvl200, and has infinite flight which rocks for Damien and gloom

Hello Xenon Mains, been looking at Xenon as a possible side character/main. Have a few questions before I make my decision.

How does it perform during AB? Does it use Beam Dance or Snipe?
Is it a pot hungry class? Does it require pets to do well? Does it require more armour investments?

On the bossing/burst side, is it a troublesome class to set up? Does it require a lot of node slots to make it feel smooth/decent?

Xenons are fairly well mobbers especially after getting their vSkills.

We use snipe during AB because of the vertical hit box and long distance it has for skill activation to hit mobs. It will also help survivability as snipe is more likely to ohko from range. Like other classes it can eat HP pots if you’re getting hit hard during AB. As for MP it can be an issue during bossing as you can get “MP locked” ( 0 mp) because of potion cooldown due to our V2 (Core Overload)

Xenon’s have tons of skills and will definitely need 3 set pets for skill slots. It’s been awhile so they might need armor investment, you’ll need to figure that out as you go based on where you have them ABing.

They heavily rely on Stacks. For 3 things for the most part, loading up V1 and V4 as well as Core Energy. Not as difficult to manage as some classes but not as “no thoughts head empty” as others. You’ll need some nodes but xenon’s have decent skill %s and tons of final atk% so attempting to hit cap isn’t a low upgraded weapon isn’t that difficult.

The class is very very versatile as we have
3 Iframes
1 mini time leap (Temporal Pod- 1/3 iframes)
1 healing summon (Hypogram: Support)
1 steal/stun skill for DR/Damage Null (entangling lash)
1 skill for infinite flight

My only issue with the class is our V1 where we have to sit still for 9 seconds to get most of our dmg. An issue for bosses that like to move or where we have to cancel prematurely to move

Thanks for such a detailed explanation, appreciate your effort. Omega Blaster is such a big reason I'm interested in the class as well as the whole cyborg theme. I remember Core Overload making things very awkward and clunky during my pcms days and the fact that you'd have to start preparing your burst beforehand. So far it seems like the cons does outway the pros especially when it's a class reliant on having 3 pets. Not a fan of dropping 300m a month just for a side project.

And it’s better now than when fair trade took 2500 hp per second

There’s things you can do to make it more rare (changing hp pet % for example)

But I don’t find it happening often in gloom+

One of the best things is to raise your mp as much as you can

The more mp, the longer v2 lasts, the fewer opportunities for a lock

It’s way better now that they reduced the cd for PEs

You’re not stuck for 10s+

The class is a bit pot consuming but that shouldn’t really be too much of an issue, potions are cheap 😉

The more you can 1 hit kill things you’ll find your pot use will go down a lot

Late game is great- see Astakon or DecMyDay, they’re heavy hitting late game players
