I think that change + changes to like bishop res, sia hourglass.. makes it so you really need to know your mechanics for bosses or you'll be punished. imo, yeah previous patch was a lot easier in terms of survivability for everyone, but i dont think chessing bosses like that was healthy. I do think we're going in the right direction with this update though for sure.

It's just a submain for me so I don't do that difficult stuff with it and even then I either don't need to care for DPS optimization in stuff like CRA and for lotus I just get on mount at least 2 mins before the run and I get full uptime aswell

I think it depends on what your weapon is.

If you have necro. You can get exp shoulder over crit rate shoulder. ( get Crit Atk shoulder if you don’t have necro

Belt( I think personal preference) I personally think the acc belt is best cuz you’ll miss less. However if you get a chaos pb belt, that is a tier above the rest.

Cape: I think ppl go for crit atk or evd cape

I would stop reading it as 4boss/2mob.
chomp is listed as both boss/mobbing because you can use it for both.
dark meta(damage is barely anything, but its a skill used during bossing)

Follow the way he ordered the skills instead...

1-3= 1 trio(boss)
4-6= another trio(mob)
substittue out mobbing if you arent mobbing?
substitute out bossing if you arent bossing?

Belt cape shoulder give mp and they all benefit our mp scaling flame.

From my experience, u get best flame scaling from hp and ba. Mp and cd (and sometimes crit rate depend on class) are second best. I’d say something along the line of hp and ba give me 600 attack per line and mp and cd give me 400-450 per line. So slightly less.

Errrr I’d say so a test w a random mp flame. Use those rare or epic trash flame

Soul. Jewel. Armor. Armor set bonus and potential affect mp scaling

So even if u have no mp, u still get scaling because those items have that stat and it’s not drawn off your total mp( which in this case will be 0) but rather off the bonus stat u get from the above sources.

Whereas DW is alot more of a glass cannon with some iframes. If i'm not wrong they don't have self heal mechanics

It depends on whether you are comfortable with switching back and forth between bossing and farming boost nodes. If you can religiously put that into practice without any hassle then go ahead with 4 4 rotation.

If you want lesser hassle of changing in and out of the type of boost nodes then go for the 6 skills boost node.

The rationale why I go for the 4 4 rotation is because it helps to save up on one slot for other skill nodes like decent nodes etc

Dark meta is about 2-4% dpm depending on how close you can stick to the boss so it's a decent addition to have when you have max slots

boundless rage gives u unlimited DF for a short period but requires DF to activate.

at lower lvls it becomes a bigger issue if you aren't 1 shotting mobs so dont stress over it

I wouldn’t stress too much about it. Based on your cap, you should be hitting at least 15.79m average to be considered mostly capping (even during ur offf burst n no buff time). At 15.02 you not doing too bad.
The number above does not account for any extra base ied u get from armor. Purely lv30 v skill n ds4.

Demon Bane have alot of flexibility on when you need to cast during bossing

One of the misunderstanding of Demon Bane and DAw is that if Bane isnt used alongside DAw, the line count drop off is terrible. The reality is that it isn't

With Demon Awakening,
[(42 x 10) + (48 x 12)] x 2 = 1,992 lines

Without Demon Awakening,
[(39 x 10) + (45 x 12)] x 2 = 1,860 lines

The "penalty" is you loosing out on 122 lines

Some fun fact for everyone, inside Guild and Guild Honor dungeon i do not overlap my Bane with DAw. Instead i let DAw play out its full duration and only cast Bane after DAw is over. The total line count is actually slightly higher as compared to overlapping Bane with DAw.

Demon Impact - Reduce Fury is not needed once you unlock Cerberus Chomp as that skill refills your Fury every 5 secs

The hyper preset for Demon Slayer is a fixed list,

1. Demon Lash - Reinforce (Final Damage)
2. Dark Meta - Reinforce (Final Damage)
3. Dark Meta - Enhance (Phy Attack)
4. Demon Impact - Reinforce (Final Damage)
5. Demon Impact - Enhance (Extra Hit Count)

Practice makes perfect. It isn’t easy. Even I struggled to get myself comfortable and familiar with her strings and poison mechanics.

Her attack patterns is very predictable after you practice long enough. Just that her strings and poison are the annoying factor as those stuff are the ones that will deal the most damage to you rather than her attacks haha

Also, after pressing the origin button for the first time, does the Flames of the Netherworld activate everytime we press attack, or just 2 times in total?

If it activates and deals additional attack everytime we press the attack button after the pressing first origin skill, then would the optimal mechanic for us to be just waiting for the timer to run out for the axe to drop, rather than pressing the origin skill the second time before the timer finishes?

The flames activate 2 times everytime you hit for every 0.5 secs

The use case of the flames is very dependent on content

In Guild dungeon or Guild Honor Battle, you can let the origin skill rundown until it’s over

However in bossing or culvert content, it’s better to release the Axe before DS4 runs out

If you're capping, work on hexa stats for more MDC. If you're not capping, work on hexa skills (unlock lv1 EA at least). Once you're done hexa stats and all skills are lv1, aim for origin lv10. I think that's what most ppl are doing (since origin has lowest dmg skill%)

I go based off my damage analysis. For ex, after origin lv10, I'll prob be going demon awakening next. IF I can land another source of MDC before I finish origin lv10, I will prob go with demon bane

Is anyone else struggling in GHB? I’m getting smoked by other players that appear far less geared than I am. My stats are here for reference…6 set abso, lv 50 weapon, 140m MDC.

I’ve gotta buff heavily heavily to hit 1.4T+ in GHB and getting outdamaged by others with lv 40 weapon and inherit equips without full emblem setups

An Erel in my guild with the same MDC and 100% less CD / 50% less BA than me destroys me in our weekly bossing runs too

casting all damage buffs during countdown->Spirit of Rage + Arachnid->origin while DS4 is up->Demon Bane burst->Demon Awakening + Hexa DI the rest of the way

Some important pointers to note for Demon Slayers when maximising damage for GHB,

1. Have 2 demon impact. One as standalone. Another with Cerberus chomp preset.

• Demon impact standalone will be used during Demon Awakening uptime only
• Demon impact preset with Cerberus chomp to be used after Demon Awakening is on cooldown

2. Use jump buff. Follow the movement I did in the video in order to maximise minimum movement. The lesser the movement, the more dps uptime.

3. Remove Demon Awakening and Orthrus from pet. Place both skills inside buff preset. Demon Awakening and Orthrus to be manually cast AFTER Origin is triggered.

4. Try to jump only after Demon Chain and Cerberus Chomp is triggered so that you can maximise the count usage of both skills. Refer to my video for a better reference of when do I jump after casting Demon Chain and Cerberus Chomp

Recommended skill rotation for GHB:
Will Skill > Demon Impact preset > jump to right platform > Snake > Origin > Manual cast buff preset > Once Demon Awakening is over, cast Demon Bane > Demon impact preset until the timer is up

Note: Buff preset consists of Demon Awakening and Orthrus

For bosses like Lotus, Damien, Gloom, Archon, Verus Hilla, Lucid and Will i like to manually cast my buff preset as i have fully memorize the boss patterns and when to burst after the bosses go off-screen or their shields are down in order to maximise my Demon Awakening dps uptime.

Important note: Initially when i started doing all these bosses, my Demon Awakening and Orthus are placed on my pet all the time until when i became more confident and experienced which is when i decided to remove both skills from pet.

Currently the only boss that i put both Demon Awakening and Orthrus into my pet is Darknell. Because that boss at the moment is difficult for me to micromanage manual casting my buff preset while focusing on alot of stuff on-screen.

Some honorable mention for Arkarium, Magnus, Hilla and Von Leon, whether to put both Demon Awakening and Orthrus on pet it doesn't matter much as these bosses will be down in seconds
