actually depends on what kind of role u want when ur bossing

u can be more supportive as a paladin
or have a DPS role as a DW

DW dps is rly rly good

i just cleared lotus as a 203 DW with inherit weapon and mythic + legend armour

but my boost nodes are pretty high lvl

I think you should go for paladin as f2p easier to get picked up for boss runs. But why not just play both

dawn warrior is pure dps, paladin is mostly team support (can dps too but pala is more support sided with his utilities if you cannot dps)

if i would recommend, go for dawn warrior though i rr to dk, dw is really strong, the only "downside" if that you have to be quick on your feet with your iframes and dashes, if you can pull them off consistently the boss can't touch u at all lowkey

especially with falling meteors in magnus, i don't even need to flash jump, you can zoom across the boss map like crazy

however being a pure dps class means people expect you do actually do damage, so you might need to min max your damage, not asking you to whale hella hard but at least have decent unique flames (double line if can) and leg pots they contribute a lot to your damage considering you have maxed out your boost nodes

Anyone have a track of how many iframes we have with DW and the cooldowns? So far I’ve only got the 170 hyper and V3, which is not a lot tbh

We have 5 in total.
2 from solar eclipse.
When you press the skill you get 1.5 seconds iframe, if you press it again before it explodes you get another 1.5 second iframe (3 second total from eclipse)

Hyper dash lvl 170 we get 2 dashes. Each dash gives 1.5 second (3 second iframe total)

Last but not least we have the general warrior iframe, impenetrable skin. 3 seconds iframes.

I believe eclipse is 1 min cool down when maxed.

30 seconds on the hyper dash.

And a minute on impenetrable skin

If you time all these out consecutively you can get a total of 9 seconds of iframe

That feels like it’s not that much? Does it really come into play in endgame

honestly for ab you just need solar slash/luna eclipse, cosmic burst and blazing assault. when you get soul eclipse vskill that one too.

I didn't think about it before, but if u don't have a buff pet that you can use at all you're stuck with choosing between sun or moon. I think I might choose moon but test it out

If you want to kill fast you only need 1 silver pet for DW, for Equinox cycle. If you can 1 shot without it then you don’t really need pets and AB wheel remains the same

Your AB wheel looks super off, you’re missing out on a whole lot of map clear with cosmic burst (assuming 5 orb stack), all of the dashes, cosmic shower..

Also you’re missing V3 which is a god tier mobbing skill

I overlooked your second question, to lvl your arcane power you need to do the daily arcane quest. And train in specific maps that drops them depending on which one you’re trying to max out

tested it out a bit, with cosmos at lvl 16 and rift at 11 (6+5) and being far from capping, I'm doing ~13% less dmg with rift and 7% less hits.
at lvl 11
seems like lines are constant with lvls but dmg and duration increases so it might do more when maxed(?)

seems to me that for the start, unless you're funded and just maxing everything immediately, getting both to a decent level would be best and then maybe max rift first?

My off hand is PHY ATT, shoulders are BA lvl 3, boots are BA lvl 1, belt is MAG ATT lvl 1(I’m replacing soon), cape is PHY ATT(lvl 2). I’m using the magnificent Cygnus soul, with 10% cdmg on weap, and on my offhand, shoulders, belt, cloak they all have +3% final damage.

It depends on how you utilize your SP points. Trios have a max lvl of 60. So having 3 at lvl 20 = 60 maxed trios , that way I can save my Sp points to put them on my VSkills where it’ll be more useful. I guess in the beginning since you don’t have a lot of slots using 2 might be good. But in the long run 3 is a lot better

Honestly. Dawn warriors are pretty squishy tbh, BUT thankfully we have 4 dashes. 2 in which gives 1.5 seconds of iframe each.

Also our solar eclipse gives 3 seconds iframe. 1.5 when you activate it. And another 1.5 when you slice it before the timer runs out

We also have our v skill impenetrable skin that gives us 3 second iframe

As a dw, in order to survive effectively. I HEAVILY depend on my dashes to quickly move out of the way to avoid getting hit

If you guys have any trouble with mechanics on bosses. Especially lotus. Let me know. I have a run coming up Thursday and I’d be more than happy to record myself in phase 1 to show you guys how to “work” the lasers effectively

Hard mag is one of the hardest boss if you’re looking at it as a survival type of boss

He moves so fast

But he does the same rotation

When you first enter dps and avoid his first attack. The spinning one

After he’s done he will form green clouds above his head. Usually the second you see that forming stun him and burst

He will dash afterwards followed by laser arms you wanna be directly below him when he does this

After laser arms he will dash again and do his downward sword impale. You wanna be outside of his blue barrier when he does this

Also pro tip if you don’t already know. Your damage reduces to 10-30% and your HP/HP Pot will reduce to 10-30% effect as well if you’re outside of his blue barrier

For node extraction (for v skill and other decent skills)

1. the node sets that you kept that are irrelevant (cosmic matter, cosmic shower, cosmic burst)

2. level them up until level25 then only extract them for extra node shards

3. use these node shards and craft your v skills (cosmos, rift, flare, eclipse)

4. v skills are quite rare when opening nodes which is why u need to "stock up" by leveling these garbage nodes on the side and use them as "fuel" in extracting and crafting v skill nodes

5. you can also craft decent skills like speed infusion, maple goddesses blessing but that is in the future

i don't suggest buying emblem scrolls, instead, look into arcane symbol level-up discounts scrolls, hyper stat discount scrolls, exp buffs, and ab tickets

It depends on the player tbh. I have no problem surviving, more than some of my pally friends.

Dw’s iframes are tedious but our mobility is off the charts with our dashes and quick movements. We have a total of 9 second iframes if you time them correctly you’ll survive pretty good.

Pallys survival would probably be easier since they have a 30 second iframe they can pop every 60 seconds. But that could be a double edged sword cause people tend to lean on it so much they forget how to play correctly

So make sure you max orbs before casting v1 if possible

Hard to do it in some bosses but should always try to max orbs before doing v1

If i cannot cap

If i cap on everything and i go 3x cosmic shower

I mean its a debuff and it is good for bossing

Its more of a limit testing on your own dawn warrior

Because cosmic shower is anyway a hassle to cast during bossing

Completely skipping it lets you get out more solar slash lines

I think the further u go down the boss most ppl would already be capping main lines, maybe it helps adi dmg? I don't have hyper into it but I do still press it out of habit for that 10% haha

just put it into preset with ur sol/luna u only need 1 stack of orb for 100% uptime and thrs pretty much no delay in casting

You’re not timing it right or using it on bosses that can’t be stunned like Vellum

As DW we have 3 iframes for Ark screen crack

But using that basically reduces the damage that we get out of it right

Don’t use it in the beginning for dps.. use it when screen crack come out

U will still get to deal the dmg just at a later timing

Once u cast solar eclipse you get 2/3 secs iframe .. while still dealing the 20 seconds dmg

And if you time it right and prompt to stop solar eclipse before the 20 seconds you get another 2-3 second of iframe too

2 with the 170 dashes, timing actually works out if there are continuous screen cracks

And then there’s impenetrable skin

So 5 if you get lucky with the 170 hyper timings

all you gotta do is stun->dash screen crack ->imp skin 2nd crack -> soul eclipse (2nd iframe) 3rd screen crack and ezpz ark run

oh another tip of for ark if anyone needs if u bind the boss while he does screen crack u just live the crack doesnt affect you

but also after that if u take down another 25% of his hp get ready for him to hit u with screen crack again
