Base game, no dlc. Tooltip says +2 multi-hit if you haven't killed anything this turn. Reality is it's +1 multi-hit.

What's the max? I have +5 without initiator. End up with 8 attacks with hand crossbow with initiator, 7 after killing.

Hi, the maximum bonus you can have for multihit is 5, but that's just the bonus

if you take the skill "Magic missiles" for the Wands that has 4 multihit without any modifier, you can have 9 multihit then
if you took initiator while already having a modifier of 5 multihit, having initiator on or off would not change anything, since you already reached the maximum without the perk

so what happened might be that you had 4 multihit modifier without initiator, which would explain the +1 difference having it on or off
