#Player reports incentives.

I think it will result in more reports yes, however I also think it will result in a lot more reports where people are reporting small things
It could only count for major offences like TK, Mass TK, RK, mass RK, ect
How so?
Say someone idk steps outside the border for . 5 seconds dropping from roof to gate or accidentally falls off a tower fighting a raider
Ppl are inccentivised to report them with no concern for the context or their reaction to breaking the rule after the fact (what if the guy who fell off the tower reset instantly)
Same applies to accidental tk or similar situations
I'm aware, thus why its a bad thing as incentives can cause people to feel like reporting smaller things, although I'm not saying I'm against your idea. I merely mean that it can lead to more missuses of the channel
Generally just encourages ppl being rats and abusing the system instead of discouraging trolls from breaking the rules
Therefore it would be denied for insufficient evidence, they should add a certain amount of clip length for it to be valid Evidence
Although, if you give as your example states 1 point per 5 approves reports I doubt many people will actually persue this as a way of getting points. But it would be a nice compensation I guess
Obviously there will be flaws with it, but everything starts with flaws, AEGIS probably had flaws when we first started.
Is a verbal warning anyway for the first time so would be denied eitherway
You regularly need context before the fact to discern that, regardless it encourages reporting nonsense
Also this just puts more pressure on sc for literally no reason
Yes but swapping from a system with 5 flaws to a system with 10 is objectively a bad decision (placeholder numbers but you get the point)
There is a reason, to get rid of the trolls and rule breakers. And if your saying the rules are nonsense then idk
Mfw aegis reading comprehension is in the gutter
?
There may be some things to gain, but it wont be enough for it to be actually implemented. It would also require Officers+ to actually have people be given points. So overall I doubt this will be implemented.
Ok
Just my opinion, I like the idea though to an extend
Holy larp
not blacklisted but i think this was already turned down
cause they said it'd be abused
althought, i do think an incentive for sc to grade reports would be good
i might go tell coolguy to start doing that
Well have you got a better idea to get rid of all of the initiatives that are trolling and get away with it?
Yes
SC gets more members and/or more activity
Or you guys just report like normal people
At least 1 person in a server is gonna report
this isnt needed + was already suggested and turned down
i think it was atleast
the incentive is not getting banned
you can get in trouble for intentionally not reporting someone
no
in certain circumstances, yes
@eternal tartan can you lock this 🙏
stop being lazy
Make player reports anonymous
Been suggested before
Not happening
Just gonna result in the channel being flooded with false reports and minor shit
Cuz you red roles are so damn hungry for points
Just no
Youre meant to make reports because its the right thing to do
Not for point incentives
absolutely not
this has been suggested before and I explained why it is an incredibly shit idea
it would just result in every little thing that isnt even a rule break getting reported, it would clog up player reports and make SC's job more annoying since they'd have to sift through even more false reports, and it would incentivize a hostile culture in AEGIS
this too
this may not be lockable since its technically not blacklisted
but this is literally paid snitching
I mean threads for particularly bad suggestions get locked all the time
Even when they arent blacklisted
