Hi
The current wastelander spawn camping rule has an issue.
Right now players can follow someone from exit to exit wait five seconds and force a fight. This removes choice and turns spawn protection into a formality rather than real protection.
AEGIS spawns make sense with a timer. They have a single exit with elevators and the option to disengage entirely.
Wastelanders are different. They have multiple exits no safe route and no way to avoid a forced fight once someone commits to following them.
The current interpretation is this:
After the 5 second mark you're free to kill whether you're far away outside the spawn or following right behind them. -- CONFIRMED BY SC UO. CURRENT GUIDELINES.
If you are far away they have the chance to rotate elsewhere since it is wastelander spawn and they have multiple exits.
If you are rotating to their exact exit or following them directly there is no choice and no escape. That is not real protection.
A better rule would be that following a player who is in spawn and initiating combat when they leave should count as spawn camping regardless of time unless the spawned player initiates first. This targets the behavior not the timer and prevents forced fights while keeping PvP intact.
If they are following a player to force them into a fight after those 5 seconds that should also be spawn camping. -- IT ISNT.
Right now this is not the case. After 5 seconds you are free to kill them even if you are following right behind them. This suggestion is asking for that behavior to count as spawn camping.
