back in 2019/2020 a lot of officers who were disgruntled that argued would say "just demote me if it's a problem" in a legitimate argument and I didn't hesitate to for one second. same with people who said "just ban me already" during arguments.

context matters but imo it's definitely not an abuse of power if someone literally asks for it legitimately.
