Hello all! I think we know that being a combative division can sometimes be a little bit of a drag. But what if it didn't have to be? In this thread, I will be laying down the seeds for what should be ideas on adding onto the gameplay and duties of MDF and STHD.
MDF raids/demolition on targets.
- You know how infection crates drop from a (presumably automated) VTOL?
Every now and then, MDF would have the opportunity to raid a specified location (e.g. poliax with it's commlink tower maybe?) and place a demolition charge on it to destroy the commlink and prevent infection crates from being dropped from VTOLs for a period of time. Perhaps... 15-25 minutes? The raider team would be notified of this and be able to defend it (jointly with volunteer wastelanders).
If MDF succeeds, there is a 15-25 minute period where crates do not spawn. Once that period is over, the commlink cannot be destroyed again for 15-20 minutes.
If MDF fail in their objective, infection crate spawning rates are increased for that same duration. This might also give an incentive to actually be on the raider team.
- Note: I've been informed Behelium does this already. However, in that case, let's change it from Behelium to this. Much more fun for everyone.
Honestly, I'm not really sure any of this makes a lot of sense, but this might plant the seed for MDF objective ideas.
Similarly:
- The automated VTOLs would sometimes drop weapon caches which can be secured by wastelanders/raiders by having control over the area for a certain amount of time. Wastelanders would be notified of the drop, and so would MDF. This would grant everyone in the area some kind of benefit, such as a free weapon, armor, HP or item. MDF can prevent this by securing the area and planting a demolition charge on the crate, causing it to explode. This would be a time consuming process and require some teamwork from MDF (and perhaps STHD) to pull off.

Agency contracts to be handed out to MDF and STHD.
The AEGIS Intelligence Agency prints KOS contracts. Maybe contracts could be en masse too, such as eliminating a group of raiders instead of only one?
MDF and STHD undertake these contracts. When they do, they get a payment of credits or armorment tokens that they can utilize in the divisional store in Div (Q), suggested in thread #1162132533111177256 . What those items could be is stuff like heavy kevlar, 3C, etc. for free to plays. It would be very expensive, but that is exactly why the contracts and raids mentioned earlier would hand out payment!
Upon completion of a contract successfully (e.g. kill these raiders 6 times), the personnel assigned to the contract would receive a payment of armourment tokens which they can use in the suggested divisional store.
The AEGIS Intelligence Agency could also assign other objectives, I'm just not certain what they would be.
TLDR:
- MDF can destroy the commlink in Poliax to prevent infection crates and demolish randomly spawning weapon caches to prevent wastelanders getting free weapons.
- AIA can assign contracts to MDF and STHD for which they will be paid, and they can use this in a new divisional store in Div (Q).
Changes suggested by people in the thread:
1. Therainwaters, STHD DC, has suggested making contracts an STHD exclusive and raids MDF exclusive, therefore giving more of a distinction for the duties of each division.
