duty state suggestions
its not changing and it would never work
even with a randomly appearing box asking if your afk'd could get macro'd easily
its worked for years theres no point in changing it now
You can also afk normal ds
Ig
I think this one could actually be a good idea
This system makes literally no sense, is impossible, is illegal, and also just plain horrible all at once.
I'm not trying to put you down, I'm saying it how it is.
The way duty states are now works fine, maybe some changes could be made, but this is NOT it.
wouldn't stop a well programmed macro from finding It and clicking. plus adding robot verification for it is just plain goofy are you hearing yourself
Again I'm not trying to put you down but there's no reason to put more effort into explaining why a bad suggestion is bad than it took to make the suggestion.
(Btw by illegal I mean against TOS)
No
rewamp
this sounds like it'd be heavily reliant on some coding + the trust of the playerbase, which would abuse the system. cool idea on paper, horrid execution on roblox though.
why would the developer responsible for maintaining the duty-state system want to go out of their way for this system instead
No
why fix what isn't broken
I get starting out doing duty-states can be pretty tedious, but after the first couple people start to get the hang of it.
unfortunately some of our officers are getting back into school after their summer break, and some are just finishing their summer
by September, there should be noticable differenecs and quality of life improvements regarding the punctuation of duty-state checks, & training times.
We've been keeping a steady number of officers as the old ones go. Typically if someone is promoted to UC, we get another officer that week or the week after.
this will take a long time
Yeah, a bunch are on an inactivity notice at the moment due to school & summer break ending
if it doesn't improve, ToML are ready to amp up officer recruitment to fix the activity.
- adjusting quota if need be.
well as AEGIS grows, we want more and more officer+. They help maintain the group, and as you can see with the duty-state check delay, we need their help lol.
Even then, they're helping contribute to the overall functionality of the group.
We still want a handful more ToML, and we need UCs to filter through to find the best candiates for ToML.
what's "so piled up" in your eyes?
Like what number
if you could put one to that statement
I meant
how many Ucs, and how many toml would you consider the rank to be "piled up"
Well,
In my pov
I joined AEGIS four years ago. Back then, there were only maybe 4 UCs, and 5 officer-VetOffs in total. About 6 ToML, and 3 of the old rank that was above that. Around 5k to 10k members.
It took only until last year to start really increasing our officer and UC numbers to help with the functionality of the group before we actually went past just 8 or so officer+ and UCs at a time.
This was a necessary change due to the slow recruitment of UCs, and ToML. Before, we didn't have enough UCs to do their range of duties effectively, and we didn't have enough "ToML potential" UCs to select from due to the small pool of UCs at the time. And ontop of that, ToML numbers have always been in a limbo of only 4 to 6 members, which is way less than how many we need to have every "toml position" filled.
AEGIS has grown a lot, and so have the systems in AEGIS that help keep the group running. With more systems, requires more staff. We eventually had to increase our recruitment as time goes on.
Imo the sweetspot I want is about 15, because there are a total of 12 "Administrative Overwatch" / ToML positions to fill.
So 20 would be more than enough, it'd probably be the "cap" if there ever was one.
Well
We don't want to prevent very competent people from getting UC if they deserve it. And the UCs we do have that just aren't ToML yet have a right to want to stay in that position if they're just not ready for ToML yet.
We do
however
have that rule in divisions
Due to divisional leadership positions being a lot more common and easier to obtain, technically, than UC+
That's how it is for divisional leaders. They have a 1 year term, and have the option to get a 6 month at most extension if their AO (the ToML overseeing said division) approves
I don't think that will be an issue. We had the issue before, with much fewer members due to the slow climb to ToML.
Yep, then they're not allowed back as the divisional leader for some time.
When revamping how uc+ promotions work when the academy was released, we took into account the risks and benefits of going with this new system. Although the concern you have is a real one, I don't believe it'll affect us badly for a long period of time- if at all.
also I think we addressed it as "bottlenecking"
A bottleneck is a point of congestion in a production system that slows or stops progress. Short-term bottlenecks are temporary and often caused by a labor shortage. Long-term bottlenecks are more incorporated into the system itself and characterized by inefficient machinery or processes.
This is the issue we had before.
Thus far, it hasn't been an issue since the Academy was added.
i just posted the description
oh
well you fooled me
I couldn't tell english wasn't your first language
I mean it wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad lol
If I don't know a word I just google it
"x description"
anyways gtg.
have a good one glhf.

Chat logs
Game chat logs
Game admin logs
All against TOS, yet AEGIS has game admin logs and chat logs
Although I do agree with you point
All games have those
still
Alot of games that have ds are automatic
It would be better for everyone
If it was automatic
Then you wouldn't get the true military experience of filing your own duty states
Bro chill, this is a lego character game
this would take a lot of coding tho.
bad suggestion
