currently, the VTOL is too strong. Its being used in most patrols and there is almost no counter to it as it has alot of health and is hard to kill and doesnt use any resources from AEGIS.

  1. my suggestion is to add some sort of fuel if you want to use it. maybe a couple of batteries or something along the lines of that.

  2. Another thing is to reduce its health. Its almost impossible to break it rn.

  3. also add a special stationary artillery weapon on different pois that appears if the poi is captured by wastelanders. This weapon won't be deal damage to players however if u shoot it at the VTOL it will come crashing down. You will need to buy its ammo using ores and it should be fairly expensive to buy. Maybe also make it able to disable the gate forcefield for like 10 minutes or something

I’ve tested the vtol with 8 raiders we spammed our weapons and the vtol didn’t even get damaged a lot

With 10 raiders it atleast takes you 15-25 mins to take it down

Health nerf prolly won't happen cuz it already got a 50% nerf, the other two sure, would be cool

And I'd personally rather see gameplay being more interesting than another health nerf, so 2 and 3 sound good

i made a suggestion before where you could get into warehouse to grab a work in progress dew that when you shoot it at a vtol, it would lower the vtol hp a lot to an amount where you could actually finish the job

also chairman has less than 1500 hp since he cant survive a 1s headshot

Imo, there should be a EMP that you can craft and attach to the radio tower

I kinda like the battery/ore idea but it's also going to be a real pain when you're trying to fly for something important and there's no ard 💀

the reason that vtols are never shot down is probably more because they can just go and respawn the vtol any time its low hp

look lets be a little realistic, the only thing that would be remotely easy to do would to nerf hp but chairman has already said he would not do that, and when you think about implementing some sort of AA system for wasteland gameplay, where would that fit on the pipeline of things that chairman is currently working on so I mean if your willing to wait a while something might come of this but otherwise I dont see a immediate nerf in the near future

Suggestion is alright, some people in the comments though want to nerf the VTOL out of usefulness.

DoD encourages intensely sadistic gameplay anyway - with the insane amount of camping and it essentially becoming “respawn simulator” at times. No one in this game has any consideration for the gameplay experience of the other side, or the fact that spawn camping isn’t actually a “skill” it’s just being a jerk.

The VTOL is an escape from that - it actually allows people (divisional) to play the game, and not be stuck in a respawn loop for an hour while raiders camping roof rack up 100 kills each.

Nerfing the VTOL would immediately eliminate its usefulness unless the nerf was forced to be on a cool-down or other severe limitation, which would immediately make the other team cry and mald. Instead, wait for AED to be added to properly balance VTOL gameplay with repair mechanics to pacify both sides, instead of implementing a stop gap solution that satisfies no one and harms everyone.
