updates to add content without a reward or with certain parts of it missing are just as harmful if not more than they can be temporarily beneficial. what i mean by this is that updates for "future content" that do not come relatively quickly within the next few updates or months simply harm the flow of the game. a few examples of this are:
tokens: (reference: #📋public-update-log message ) currently, tokens make it so that f2p aegis have to spend hours in game just to get another gun for their arsenal, an additional gun for their pea shooters or standard rifles that they already have. if the reward system was added like this update said, this would be no problem and f2p aegis would have a chance at competing with wastelanders, who could acquire a free dew in just 15 or so minutes, whilst it takes aegis an hour to earn a decent gun, more or less.
night vision: this has literally been promised for years, cmon bro
vault: while a temporary solution to this was added, what was the point in making the vault unraidable for an entire month just to add a temporary solution to this problem
phases in general: acting like an update will be continuously rolled out in phases and then is halted completely is lame, such as the volcano update which was only released on phase 1, almost two years ago, and then put off to the side
i know dod has a lot of development going on all at once, however its not very linear, which can confuse people or make them lose hope that an update that was promised wouldnt come out. the term "coming in the future" is used way too loosely

AEGIS does not need more free shit, they have every advantage in the book, the time it takes to get the ores for some of those things are equal to the time it'd take to get the tokens for the AEGIS counterpart.
Gonna be honest I don't think AEGIS should have a chance to get ahold of a free DEW.
The other things atkorv brings up is fair
but I don't think the token system is "incomplete" per say, it could be given more use outside of just being a server life currency

not full screen, only moves with your character if you have a gun aimed, doesnt work in 3rd person

They did a huge update to the vault but made it impossible to raid. Now they have a temporary solution that really is just cracking it like a normal door but you need two people.
