okay for one there used to be a custom chat, it was removed because it was worse and more buggy than the default chat. two, this would be an incredibly low priority thing for devs considering theres already a working chat, and you didnt actually suggest anything new to the chat system, you just reinstated what team chat is for both teams

except for one or two minor additions that might be a bit nice to have, there's nothing wrong with the current chat system. definitely no mistakes
personally imo, a redesign doesn't sound too bad but I doubt it will ever be worked on. just not enough need

it literally makes no sense plenty of games that are way more popular than DoD uses the default chat and it is completely fine and works fine as long as roblox servers are not being bad and plus DoD dev team is not big like those games so they dont have time. sure it would look aesthetically pleasing but does it really need to be implemented... NO. and plus i have made a custom chat before and teamchat didnt really work that well and whispers did not work at all.
