I also had a lower rating today, but like you, I did also get a red card, so maybe that's the explanation? I don't think that has previously affected the rating much, but maybe it's a new thing.
Actually, I just realized that my red card meant that I only had 7 different personalities during some of the match, so that might be the explanation for me. Is it the same for you?

Around November 18th, there was an update that fixed the number of characters after halftime, which didn't take into account the number of characters. After the update, the number of characters after halftime is now changing. If we get a red card or lose our 8th character (or a leadership character) due to injury, the 10% bonus for 8 characters or the 3-5% bonus for the "leadership" character will not be reflected in the newsletter if that character doesn't play in the second half.
Yes, that's what I remembered, and I think it explains all of the drop in rating I saw today.
Honestly, I wasn't aware of this update. Usually, updates just say "some things have been updated." I asked the question, but I understand the answer, of course. Yes, I understand that if 8 characters are corrupted by red cards or injuries, these bonuses are not obtained. However, there are two problems here.
- Inability to make amends: Since there are no halftime substitutions, we cannot intervene in the team in case of a card or injury in the first half to avoid losing bonus points. This means we cannot intervene to prevent potential losses. Furthermore, we will only be able to make substitutions at halftime in the future. So what happens if a player gets injured in the 46th minute? We'll still be doomed to lose. This is not fair.
- Team Plan:
Team planning is a crucial part of the game. Every player plans their team from start to finish. Currently, many elite players field 8 characters. The remaining 3 characters are Aggressive or One-Stop. This is a player's choice to get the best performance. This means that if 6 players on the field get injured or receive a red card, there is a bonus loss of around 20%. So what should be done? Of course, team plans should be changed. For example, if we field 9-10 characters instead of 8, this problem would be solved. However, there is a situation where you restrict character changes during the season. For the plan I mentioned, you need to plan character changes well for two seasons. New characters are released every season anyway. For example, I can't use the Decisive character right now. I'll wait for the next season. And here's a new situation I've just noticed. Okay, I'm an experienced player with resources. But how will teams struggling with limited resources overcome this situation?

The motivational speaker didn't give my team a bonus today. The match ended in a draw. We don't have time to solve the problem. I'm losing points. This isn't fair.

For example, this problem never happens in my England team.
The England team's match just finished. Player number 93 received a rating of 12.8 for a determined character and 178 overall. Players 99-95 received ratings of 12.8 for aggressive players and 190-191 overall. @patent vessel I believe the match boost morale from motivational speaker didn't trigger because all your players in the line-up were already at maximum morale. But at least you should got the 2nd effect as some of your players lost morale. I reported the situation
About determined personality, a bugfix is still in development. I don't know when it will be implemented...

The "Motivational speaker" also didn't activate for me today. I should have had the 2nd effect, but did not.
It will be interesting to see if the "Rebellious" coach will actually have been tested and work, or will continue the trend of every new feature being a buggy mess, so we don't get what we have paid for.
The real problem is this: I lose points in matches where these shortcomings occur. People will say it's not the case, but I can't help but think that these mistakes are causing me to lose points in matches.
Unless the players' ratings mean nothing when the matches are calculated, in which case buying the upgrades is pointless, then it obviously does play a part in your results. So, either they are selling us useless upgrades (which I don't believe), or the bugs are hurting your team. You have every right to be angry.
I'm not angry in general, just helpless. Think about it, we don't release many stars because of the coach's rebellious personality. What if he makes a mistake too? Ultimately, the league continues. And I failed. Do I have to succeed? Maybe the league can be a failure. But everything is going well, and I understand the repetitions. We can take the mistake into account and make improvements.

Your Determined player has received a bonus. I guess you're not experiencing this problem. My Determined player should have a rating of 200, but they're only getting 166. I've become a complete error-prone team 🙂
