The player with the number "10" has the same ratings as any other "ordinary" player. And he was supposed to be better than the "aggressive" one. The only explanation is that the red card distorted his rating. Because it's obviously impossible that someone wrote a few lines of code incorrectly, am I right? ๐

I have a player with an aggressiveness rating of 12.8. For a long time, he's been scoring 200 points defensively. That's a separate issue; while other players in attack and midfield with an aggressiveness rating of 12.8 are scoring 195 points, this defender is scoring 200. I keep asking myself why this is the case.

Perhaps the goalkeeper's personality makes the difference? Guardian gives a boost to defenders' performance when he plays (+2% skill bonus for defenders in lineup)

Important to note when observing rating is that Determined does not get any bonus for effort level 50,75,100,125 while Aggressive player does get it for 125.
Aggressive also has malus for 50-75% while nothing is happening at 100
% of how much Determined player is better exist for each point of effort from 150-> but this will not be released because of wrong assumptions and comparisons such as above. Rating can change for one reason or another happening in the match.
Dear @buoyant osprey , we are not comparing aggressive and decisive characters. The aim here is to understand the difference between a decisive character and, for example, a player with 150 attempts, maintaining the same strength and other constant data (condition, form, etc.). Let's say the same player gets 130 when liked, 137 when ghosted (5%+), 143 when one-sided (10%+), and 155 when aggressive (20%+). We are trying to determine how many evaluations the "decisive" player would receive under these constant conditions.
@buoyant osprey Also, I believe a stable character has a variable +% benefit. You indicated you wouldn't mention this. Is there any harm in knowing this? Because we will have an opinion on this matter through our experiences. What harm could there be in knowing this without experiencing it?

It's not a problem, information is knowledge and power in most aspects of life.
If you would have asked for a detailed analysis I would have not replied to that post as I don't have any. I replied to the post because I was able to show you the difference between the two with an example of one individual player. The actual match rating figure is irrelevant, the important part was the increase between the two personalities under the same match conditions. For example I think I had only 5 personalities playing, this would give you a misleading actual match rating for the player when comparing it to a player when all situations are at their premium.
@vestal wigeon I understand that the number of different characters we field in a match, player strengths, formations, fitness, form, fitness, and morale are all variables that can alter the outcome of the match, and that giving a numerical estimate reinforces the error. Die Holzhaxen yesterday played his Determined player in league. He is 11.4ร with absolute rating of 171. For comparation his Spirited 11.4ร defender had absolute rating of 157 (including bonus from guardian GK). His 11.6ร Phantom had AR 150. Unfortunately there was no aggressive or inflexible player in line up to make comparation.

I changed a 11.8 strength Phantom (that turned out to not be a personality that does a lot) into Determined instead.
As a Phantom he got a rating of 152.
In the first match, at home, as Determined, playing at 185%, he got a rating of 173.
In the next match, this time playing away, still at 185%, he had a rating of 144! So no bonus added for some reason - I guess a bug.
Yesterday in the IM, at home, I tried playing at 175%, and he then got a rating of 170.
So, besides a possible away bug, then I'm at least satisfied with what I got compared to the Phantom personality.
I can't wait for day this strength ratio becomes an irrelevant value. It is a value which does more harm than good due its appearance, because when this is high value together let's say with 55-60% sector rating then people assume dominance is guaranteed and when it is not the case then it is bad engine. I'm following couple of people and their focus on this and unhappiness with results comes after one fail to win a match, despite having a winning streak of many matches before that.
As for your situation hamselv, please observe more than one match away, and then if it's constant drop, please report it through tickets.
Already one time is one too many, so I don't think it's good to wait until my next away match and discover that my offense is again much weaker than it should. If it's a bug, then I would think that other people will be seeing the same, so hopefully we'll soon hear about it here, instead of waiting a week and potentially losing the next match.
As far as i know you're the only one right now who observed it.
In any case it cannot be fixed right away and needs more matches before it's taken by dev. + vacations are still going on.
When we were doing simulations for matches, ratings could go down depending what we were setting up. In some cases if i remember properly playing at max effort against weaker opponent shown some increase in surprising results. But i can't be 100% on that i observed hundreds of simulations, of 50 to 500 matches

My purpose in starting this thread was to get ideas on what a decisive character could bring to our team.
Contributing to the team doesn't mean "winning games".
For example, the "ghost" character only provides a 5% evaluation contribution compared to other characters without bonuses.
If the leader character receives 140 ratings with the same power and stats, a similar player character acting as a ghost will receive 140 x 5% = 147 ratings.
I mentioned that the motivator character doesn't need to be on the court during the match. This means that a motivator player who isn't on the court can still have a motivating effect during the game. Therefore, they don't have to be on the court. For example, if I keep a motivator on the bench and use a similar one-way player, they will get a 10% higher rating.
In many examples I've seen, a determined character would have a 185% higher score than an aggressive player, and I think that in similar gameplay, a determined player would have about 3% more data points.
I can't try changing the character because I don't have the right to. However, my expectation is to make one 12.8 motivator player into a determined one in the new season. Currently, the motivator player gets 170-171 ratings. My guess is that after becoming determined, it will get 206 ratings. In the same position, a 12.8 aggressive player gets 199-200 ratings. That will be the difference.
According to my calculations, my team currently receives a maximum post-match overall rating of 173-175. After adding 2 more points, I expect the overall rating to be between 178-180.
I don't want to be misunderstood. My aim is to calculate where I can improve my data. After all, even if I get a general rating of 180 in my league, I can still lose matches against teams with general ratings of 150-160. The point isn't to discuss the match result. It's to analyze how the new character will affect our team's data.
Actually, the teams are debating how the character distribution of the 11 players should be during the match. I have some ideas in mind and I'll see by trying them out. How much of a winner can we be?

In this case one situation is not automatically a confirmation of a bug.
It is possible it's a bug, but we can't jump on it right away as you may want, not that we don't care, but it's more of a standard procedure running for years.
Rating could be normal or how it works as it may be impacted by something, maybe you lack some bonuses when playing away compared to home, maybe opponent has something which impacts your rating. Maybe against different line up or tactic player gets certain lower rating?
Furthermore, no dev is available during this time. One such bug certainly will not activate emergency duty.
More examples we have the better, make sure you report it through tickets.
I briefly looked two matches you shared and i see you have away bonus of 20% + 10% while at home you have 25% home advantage bonus + 10% general home advantage bonus among other things opponent has.
This player could've been having different constitution when two matches are compared, performed less than in another match and so on.
Not saying it is this but it can be the reason.
My other striker is 195 at home, and 195 away. So no difference.
You can also look at my charismatic defender - a personality with no bonus, that also has a strength of 11.8. He had 147 at home, and 145 away. So my striker suddenly having 144, means no bonus as far as I can see, and there is definitely nothing that explains a drop from 173 to 144 either way.
Something is wrong, and hopefully it will be found a fixed soon. People have paid 84.000 stars to have this personality available, so it's pretty bad that it's not always working.

Look, I understand. You have to write something like that. But I've never encountered anything like this. Ratings can be distorted during a player substitution or when someone on your team receives a red card. I've never had a situation where an opponent comes up with a brilliant tactic and a wonderful formation that lowers my players' ratings. Never.
In my opinion, you're disrespecting players who support the game and buy upgrades that don't work as promised.
When the dev returns to work, please suggest he check the character description. I assume that when introducing the new one, instead of rewriting everything, he copied the "spirited" character, added a few lines from the "aggressive" character, and... in his workload, he forgot to delete the one line that disabled this bonus in away matches. ๐

I am also suggesting this bug has nothing to do with home/away, Ive showed an away match rating at 202, and a home rating at 161.

I would also caution the way you come across in this statement it sounds like insufficient testing of a new feature, that to be fair cost a lot of real money. Coupled with its low priority since we now have your money. Im not trying to sound angry but it doesnt sound great.
In my 1st match with a 12.8 determined player, I got 202 rating in an away match. So, it doesn't seem to be an home/away issue, as you said @drifting tulip
The home/away thing was just my theory, since that's the difference I first noticed between when it activated for me, and when it didn't. I played at home today and I did get a bonus again. From the other reports here though, then it's clearly something else.
According to this info only playing with effort less then 150% should not activating the bonus. Anything else is a bug. If there is another reason why bonus is not activating then players had to know that before they spend so much stars.
I will retreat from commenting further on, i thought i was more than open in how things are working when it comes to bugs.

I'm not trying to shame you or stop your involvement, you were being honest with us and that's appreciated. Your the customer facing individual and your left with terrible answers from above you/behind the scenes. You should highlight back to them the unsatisfactory situation of selling unready features, and then telling your customers making them work as advertised is not a priority.
Imagine your ISP sells you an upgraded internet package, it sounds great here's my money lets do it. An engineer comes round installs your new equipment and leaves you with no internet, you call customer services and they tell you your not our priority we may fix your internet in the next few months. As a customer how would you feel? Just because my example is more obvious, should not change the level of respect and care offered to customers.

I'm curious if the priority of bug fixes still depends on the number of tickets? If so, I have some bad news for you. The low number of tickets depends on the fact that only a few managers were able to use the personality change card last season. But soon, very soon, in just a few days, the new season starts. Hundreds of players will change someone's personality to Determined. And they'll be a bit surprised. I think you'll soon have enough tickets to put this bug at the top of the list. ๐
In the meantime, I suggest temporarily changing the character name from Determined to Dynamic. It better reflects his behavior. ๐

That's another rare bug that has been around for a long time. Sometimes it will randomly lower the percentage from what we save it at. I think me might have been told early on that it's most likely a visual bug, but I've never believed that, since the ratings of the players always fit the lower percentage.

I know, and it's a bug that potentially has big consequences, like you mention. If I remember correctly it was all the way back when we still had the forum, that we first reported it. I'm not 100% sure it was this bug that was also claimed to be visual (but I think it was), so you shouldn't accuse people of lying, in case I'm wrong. It would be very nice if they could figure out why it's happening and get it fixed though - and the same with the determined character not getting a bonus.

Both, number of tickets and severity are taken into account as far as I know, but some bugs, especially those appear from to time and without a specific pattern, can be harder to identify.
All I can say is that they are definitely looked into and they will certainly be fixed.

It looks like my determined player didn't get a bonus again tonight, which I think played a role in me not winning. Not that I think this info changes anything. Edit: Well, actually he has about the same rating as an inflexible player, so I guess some bonus, but no where near what it normally is at 185%. I did get a red card, but I'm not sure how that should influence it since I still had 8 characters in the team.
I would suggest customer opinion should be a game priority. Selling a feature for over 200euros and having it not work should be seen as a disaster. Why expect people to buy the next one you want to sell?

It really seems completely unpredictable, which I'm sure also makes it more difficult to fix. Still, for 84.000 stars, this has to work all the time, so I agree that this should be the top priority.

In GU, our knowledge comes from our experience. We'll be able to speak more clearly after the first few matches. If you have any doubts, you should wait for the statistics from the first matches.

Three players in the same position have the same strength and values. The aggressive player received 191 ratings, while the decisive player received 196 ratings.
Mine this season have all been as I would have expected, that would reassure me. Except we know there was no fix yet so its still a coin toss
I'm sorry, but there's a mistake. My dedicated player's value is 185, so they should have received a value between 195-200, but they received a value of 166. This is an error.

All 3 of my league games the personality has worked correctly. But ill say it again, if there has been no fix we know its still broken. The evidence was beyond dispute last season, it hasn't magically corrected itself.

In today's cup match, the player with the "determined" character did not receive a bonus. This is my third official match where I did not receive a bonus. I believe that as long as this error continues, all the official matches I play will be considered invalid. Furthermore, the motivational commentator feature also did not work in today's cup match. The England team's match just finished. Player number 93 received a rating of 12.8 for a determined character and 178 overall. Players 99-95 received ratings of 12.8 for aggressive players and 190-191 overall. There's no change in the cup match. He's still getting a lower rating than an aggressive player. We need to see what happens in tomorrow's league match, but his determined character still doesn't work in cup matches.
