TeX capacity exceeded

I was writing my report, and it was generating the PDF normally. When I added another entry to the references, and tried to cite it in my text, this error appeared. Even if I delete the reference in the .bib file, and delete the \cite in the text, it does not compile the PDF again

are you sure you have restored your tex and bib file to the state before the error occured?

check if you might be missing a closing brace somewhere

Now it worked, but I still need to add my citation in the text...

try again but make sure you don't have any syntax errors

if it still doesn't work you may want to show us the citation code

I think I got it... apparently the error was with \usepackage{url}, I don't know why it gave me an error, but I've used it before
