Could you send a screenshot of your /addons folder?
and please send the log generated by arcdps when you click on OK
this instalation has been going on for a while so this may be really dirty
you should have another log <GW2>/addons/arcdps/arcdps_lastcrash.log
oh sorry you meant arcdps log
ah yep ty
this is the one
you seem to have some arc plugins in bin64 (maybe even in the root directory of gw2) could you send screenshots of those folders as well?
The issue based on the log above is Unofficial Extras, the question is, is this because of a duplicate install or simply a wrong version
this version works at the moment, so if you have a different one, that could be causing the crash
1.18.8.1
yeah its been a while since i updated that actually...
that doesnt exist on linux π
damn i havent used addon loader in years
That sounds like their problem tbh
@half jolt
Move these files from /addons/arcdps one folder up into /addons:
- arcdps_bhud.dll
- arcdps_food_reminder.dll
- d3d9_arcdps_killproof_me.dll
- d3d9_arcdps_mechanics.dll (edit: forgot this one)
Delete these files
- /addons/arcdps/arcdps_unofficial_extras.dll
- /addons/arcdps/gw2addon_arcdps.dll
- /addons/arcdps/d3d11_update.dll (optional, just cleanup)
- /addons/arcdps/nexus_arcdps.dll_update (optional, just cleanup)
- /bin64/arcdps_unofficial_extras.dll
- /bin64/d3d9_arcdps_killproof_me.dll
that should cleanup your folder to a decent state and fix any crashing
and then you can just reinstall unofficial extras through nexus
many thanks for instructions
@frozen urchin this seem to be very often problem. What about to do some quick sanity check Similarly to what gw2 has with -repair, nexus would have something that checks for common names and point out most common issues
The installer kind of does that
but it really isn't an ideal solution
I thought about adding a "migration" like that, but if people crash instantly then there's no point lol
you also forgot UE^^
i assumed instaler would be a no go for linux so i just dropped the dll
instead of bothering to look which version is newer, or if it's even still outdated
fair
those don't hook, so they should work baseline
but ofc you're right, they could also be outdated
tbf, depending on how old the install is they could be dx9
. Net core would theoretically work under Linux? I am not sure how far it's with gui implementation. But ngl. Gui development on Linux is terrible
seems like i can load into the game and nexus is active, but not sure if arcdps is active even though nexus says it is
could the UI be hidden or out of view?
does it not pop up with alt-shift-t?
send the arcdps.log file please
nah
if it's out of view only delete /arcdps/imgui.ini
or arcdps_imgui.ini, forgot its name
that's just for window positions
ah :/
try renaming it first then
from .ini to .notini
lol
because based on the log, it loads properly
so either it's windows off screen
or it may be another program interfering? though I'm not sure how that applies to linux
in any case you helped me solve the issue so thanks for that!
don't worry, we can figure this out as well
it generated a clean new ui file and i still cant see the windows :/
seems like deleting arcdps.ini made it appear
in the arcdps.ini what do you have set for these values?
oh?
but to answer your question
hmm, not sure what setting prevented it from showing then
if your settings are important to you, you could try figuring it out
maybe they where hidden, so pressing alt+shift+t would have shown them again

yes
perfect
