Account is IMPOSSIBLE to create on 3DS | Pretendo Network | Page 1

Everytime I either, create an account on the Pretendo website and log in onto the 3DS, or try and create an account directly on the 3DS, I cannot get my 3DS on the Pretendo network. I have followed every step of the guide, Including configuring Luma3DS (Latest Release), and installing and setting the account type to Pretendo on Nimbus (Latest Release).

I unfortunately do not remember the error code that showed up whenever I tried to sign up on the 3DS, but the description was something along the lines of "HTTP Content Invalid". Does running the 3DS off of a metered connection cause this? Because I've been using my mobile hotspot for all of this and it had been stable during the whole setup process.

Try creating a Pretendo account via the website on a device other than your 3DS, then on your 3DS, go to System Settings > NNID Settings > Link an existing ID

Thankfully I just brute forced my way through the setup and managed to get it.
I learned a rather valuable lesson today. You're supposed to download the other stuff off of Github. I Just downloaded it with the Universal Downloader and that's it. So none of the IPS patches were included. Now that those are installed, and I created an account on Pretendo (Pretendo ID: cakelogic) I just went through the setup and made sure to download the mii off of the website and not the 3DS because that crashes the setup for some reason, and then it worked fine.

I am completely unable to reproduce this issue. Is it actually an issue you have had, or have you read about it somewhere?

The Mii choice being the reason of the issue doesn't make any sense to me either. 🤷

Maybe it was because of my mobile Hotspot, but I'm not sure. It works now so I'm not complaining.
