internet connection isn't working

Hello everyone. My Nintendo 2DS sat unused for about three months. I decided to use it today, but the internet connection simply isn't working. I can see the internet connection icon on the Home Menu, but I can't go online in any app. Connection tests run for several minutes but fail to complete the final step.

can you try switching to Nintendo Network mode, then try doing a connection test again?
