#I am a new user to Pretendo that is unable to confirm my email address to log in.

I have been trying to confirm my email address for the past couple of days with the magic link that was emailed to me. However everytime I try to confirm I am met with the message:

"Web email validation is currently unavailable due to high traffic. Please try again later. Verifying via the code sent to your email on a 3DS or Wii U is still possible."

I am also unable to "Verify via the code" as it says because I am completely blocked from logging in until my email is confirmed from what I have seen online.

Is there any other way I can confirm my email address or get a idea of when there wont be "high traffic" so i can confirm my email? It has been like this for a few days every single time I try.

I am completely blocked from logging in until my email is confirmed from what I have seen online.
That isn't true. Email validation (confirmation) is not necessary for any of Pretendo's services at this time, and the "high traffic" message is normal/expected.

Please avoid using video guides, AI chatbots, and old posts on the internet, as they can have missing or inaccurate information

You can go ahead and link your PNID (Pretendo account) to your console, by following one of our guides here: https://pretendo.network/docs/install

  • If it's a 3DS (or 2DS) console, you don't actually need to link your PNID except for using our miiverse Miiverse revival service. I'd also recommend that you update Luma3DS (and Nimbus) via Universal Updater in order to avoid potential issues.

the error code I get when I sign in, Another had the same error code in the pretendo forums and it was solved by confirming their email address

I am on the most up to date Luma, Nimbus and universal updater

Since you're getting that (2452) error when signing in, (and now a 5432 error), follow these next steps, as it is possible that something didn't switch properly when you clicked Pretendo in Nimbus (which is something that isn't your fault)

  1. Open Nimbus and switch to Nintendo Network
  2. Open the eShop and wait for it to fully load or error out
  3. Close the eShop
  4. Open Nimbus and switch back to Pretendo Network
  5. Open System Settings > NNID Setup to try again

You may confirm your email address by opening miiverse or by going to page 2 of your Nintendo Network ID settings

Yeah I just did this thank you, it is confirmed now. Another unrelated question, is it possible to change my birthday?

it auto set to 1/1/1990 and says unable to change. no worries if not

It's not possible yet, except if you link your PNID to a modded Wii U (Aroma + Inkay plugin) and change the user information there
