I’m trying to play splatoon, online, however I just can’t get pretendo SSSL working, I have version 5.5.6 on the Wii U, my dns is 88.198.140.154 secondary is 1.1.1.1 ( I have also tried 8.8.8.8 and 9.9.9.9) however my user agreement still says Nintendo instead of pretendo I have no clue what I’m doing wrong

It's probably something on your ISP's end then, they could be blocking external/custom DNSes
You could try with a mobile hotspot, but that would likely not be optimal, however the generally more convenient solution would be to mod your Wii U to use the Inkay plugin
