So, I just started tried using Pretendo on my Wii U when I realized, when I keep putting in my password associated with my NNID. it does work but seems to bugs when its incorrect likely because I have not setup a Pretendo account yet but, the real question is do I need to make another mii in order to use Pretendo? or is there some similar way it can work like it does on the 3DS?
#Do I need a seperate mii to create a PNID?

I believe the console won't let you select the same Mii for another profile, which is a limitation of the Wii U Nintendo put in, but if you can make a copy of that Mii, or if you had a PNID you could replace the Mii for the profile with the PNID's linked Mii
You do need to have a separate profile for use on Pretendo Network though, you cannot make your PNID with the same exact details as your NNID and have it work, not without some hackery with Wii U Account Switch which I have heard can break your profile so I do not recommend that you use it
There's a couple 'rules' to making PNIDs
First, your PNID cannot have the same username as your NNID, don't confuse this with the nickname
If your NNID username is username123, then your PNID cannot be username123, as the Wii U and 3DS do an on-device check to see if there is already an account with that username linked to the console, however if your PNID username is username321 or really any variation, then it will be fine, the username has to be at least slightly different from your linked NNID's username
Secondly, a PNID, once registered, cannot be reclaimed after deletion and cannot be changed, you can change the nickname but the actual username of the PNID cannot be changed once chosen, so do make sure you choose a name you'll be happy with
Well, I do have one pre-existing on the 3DS, should I just use that as well on the Wii U?
Yep!
Alright! Sounds good to me
At some point during profile creation and PNID linking, it should ask you if you want to use the Mii associated with the PNID or the Mii you've chosen for the profile, just like how it does when linking on 3DS
