Just for the record, we've confirmed the method they are using to connect to Pretendo servers, SSSL/hackless, moved to here from #pretendo

#

I have also instructed them to make sure that there are no devices on top of their Wii U which may be interfering with the connection

#

@rotund lynx Can you confirm what part the Wii U fails the connection test on, Wii U to Access Point or Access Point to Internet?

flint trench
#

Then this would not be an error with the DNS server, something is preventing your Wii U from connecting to your router
As I said back in #pretendo, make sure there are no objects on top of your Wii U which may be causing interference, such as anything metal

flint trench
#

When you try to connect without manually set DNS settings, does it connect successfully?
Also, I will note that, at least in my case, I have had other devices cause interference with their own wireless connections, so make sure the least about of devices as possible are connecting to the internet

rotund lynx
#

But I will lose access to Pretendo if I do auto obtain, won't i?

flint trench
#

Yes, but you can change it back

rotund lynx
#

It doesn't connect Even on auto obtain

#

Is my Wii U Banned or something?

flint trench
#

Your Wii U is not banned, it would need to connect to the internet to get a ban code, it is failing at the point where it tries to communicate with your router

#

It's not even connecting to the internet at this point

rotund lynx
#

it fails on Wii U to Network Device

flint trench
#

By chance, do you have the Gamepad charging crade or generally any object at all on top of your Wii U, I know I asked before but I only specified metal objects

rotund lynx
#

no

#

Am I Cooked?

flint trench
#

I'm not sure, try connecting to a mobile hotspot or generally any other network connection you can connect to

rotund lynx
#

Or wait?

flint trench
#

Hm?

rotund lynx
#

Wait to see if it connects later?

flint trench
#

It may be that your security settings are set wrong, or your Wi-Fi password is not set correctly

rotund lynx
#

I think I need to connect to a New WiFi Network

flint trench
#

Ah, wait, I found the result for the error code!
NOT_FOUND_ACCESS_POINT
This means that the network you are trying to connect to isn't in range

rotund lynx
#

Oh Snap-

flint trench
#

Set up a new connection but this time with the correct network, the one you were trying to connect to very possibly may be from another house, your previous ISP or what-have-you, a multitude of different reasons

rotund lynx
#

will I still keep my progress in online games?

flint trench
#

Yes, as they are stored on your console in your save file as far as I know

rotund lynx
#

Crud! I just realized! The SSID i used was the only good one

#

now I deleted it

#

Fuck!

#

Now i cant connect to it at all

flint trench
#

I think I might have screwed up on the error code
I mistook 103-1607 for 103-1601
Although your SSID is the name for your Wi-Fi, if it isn't in range or isn't on the correct band then it won't be finding it, or if it's a hidden network

I mean... I know My door in my room is always closed

#

Maybe open it?

flint trench
#

No clue, for me my Wi-Fi in my room is super spotty since my house has brick walls internally, making it harder for Wi-Fi signals to go through

rotund lynx
#

Im so fucked...

#

What are some VPNs i can use?

flint trench
#

You cannot connect to the internet, a VPN would not help

#

It may be that your house also has brick walls internally and causing the Wi-Fi to not be in range, however I'd recommend making sure the name of your Wi-Fi connection is correct, making sure the security level you set on your Wii U is correct/supported, if you still cannot detect your router on your Wii U, then try using a hotspot to connect to the internet

dusky shadow
#

Or check the specifications of your router to see if it can support the 2.4 GHz band

#

The Wii U can only connect to 2.4 GHz networks since it is a 14 year old device

rotund lynx
#

im gonna try again

#

Also, whats with the OP?

#

Overpowered?

flint trench
#

OP means Original Poster, meaning you are the one who created the thread

rotund lynx
#

Retrying now

#

Okay, Still not Working

#

Is Pretendo Down or something?

#

This is the Thing I get

#

@dusky shadow @flint trench

flint trench
#

This isn't an issue on Pretendo's end, as your Wii U is having problems connecting to your router, please ensure you've checked your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal, supports WPA2-PSK security and that you are connecting to the right network and not to a different network which is not in range, such as an old router

rotund lynx
#

Ive been trying for Hours!

flint trench
#

I and Dimitri have presented solutions, however it is ultimately out of our hands as this is not an issue with Pretendo Network as we do not have access to your router or Wii U settings
If your Wii U is failing to connect to the router, it may be an issue with your Wii U or your router, but not Pretendo Network
You may want to speak with Nintendo Homebrew to see if they can help diagnose your issue further to see if it may be a Wi-Fi chipset issue or not, but I would recommend you calm down beforehand as being angry and upset will not fix your problem

rotund lynx
#

sorry... it's just, I can get upset when im trying to do something and it doesn't work

#

my mom can be like that too

#

<:(

rotund lynx
#

Okay so I just checked with my mom and dad. Their SSID isn't working either

#

our house actually has 2 SSIDs

#

One of them ends with 3, the other ends with 2

#

2 is the one my Wii U Uses
