Hi so I freshly installed pretendo onto my 3ds. (I had it before, made a account then deleted it without ever using it but have redownloaded it). I have made sure that I have enabled loading external firms and modules aswell as enabling game patching. When I load the app, it asks if I want Nintendo or pretendo. When I click either, the 3ds loads on a black screen for a while then loads back to the start menu again. Does anyone know how I can get it to work?

That’s what it does and then it should switch onto the other server? Or is it staying the same?
There is a fix I’ve seen, you go onto the s shop and do something, I’ll see if I can find what I mean and lyk

Nimbus will reboot your 3DS to load onto Pretendo or Nintendo Network, depending on which one you chose, this is normal behaviour
To link/create a PNID, you go into System Settings, then Nintendo Network ID settings and from there your 3DS will walk you through linking what it believes to be an NNID, keep in mind that Nimbus does not replace any text or graphics on it's own, so everything except the User Agreement will be the exact same as it were on Nintendo Network
If I'm reading what you read right, you had made a PNID and then deleted it, if this is true, you cannot use that same username on Pretendo again, as per the deletion warning, a deleted PNID cannot be reused once deleted

Looking at their message, they weren't actually encountering an error, only confused about how to link a PNID to their 3DS
The solution you provided isn't applicable here and is only used in the event that the console hasn't switched networks properly
