Hello

I am trying to link my PNID to my 3DS. Yesterday, I created an account on Pretendo and recieved a verification email. At present, I have yet to "verify" the account as clicking the included link brings me to an error page stating:

Web email validation is currently unavailable due to high traffic. Please try again later. Verifying via the code sent to your email on a 3DS or Wii U is still possible.

I have tried logging into my email on the 3DS itself to try verify, same issue.

I have also attempted the basic troubleshooting guide, again to no success. Error Code 022-2613 received after multiple attempts.

  1. Open Universal Updater
  2. Search “luma” and download the Luma3ds boot.firm
  3. Still in Universal Updater, also search “Nimbus” and reinstall it. If you're not sure which one to pick, choose the .cia to download (no need to uninstall first)
  4. Turn off your console
  5. Hold SELECT and turn it on
  6. Make sure both of the top 2 options have an X in them.

Enable game patching
Enable loading external FIRMs and modules

  1. Hit START to save and return to the 3DS HOME menu.
  2. Open Nimbus now and press START to finish the Nimbus update process from earlier in Step 3.
  3. Open Nimbus again and click Pretendo.
  4. Try again"

At the same time, I have also tried the Nimbus/eShop guide without success. Please let me know if any additional information is needed and thank you!

Please perform basic troubleshooting to rule out Luma3DS and/or Nimbus being the issue
1. Open Universal Updater
2. Search “luma” and download the Luma3ds boot.firm
3. Still in Universal Updater, also search “Nimbus” and reinstall it. If you're not sure which one to pick, choose the .cia to download (no need to uninstall first)
4. Turn off your console
5. Hold SELECT and turn it on
6. Make sure both of the top 2 options have an X in them.

  • Enable game patching
  • Enable loading external FIRMs and modules

7. Hit START to save and return to the 3DS HOME menu.
8. Open Nimbus now and press START to finish the Nimbus update process from earlier in Step 3.
9. Open Nimbus again and click Pretendo.
10. Try again

  • Note that there are two results for "Nimbus", please choose the one with the purple Pretendo P icon, the one with the green P icon is not Pretendo Nimbus. Using the other Nimbus will connect you to different servers of which we cannot guarantee user safety, functionality, updates or security of user information

Thanks for the reply! I have already performed this process and it has not resolved the issue.

Can you please power off your 3DS, take out the SD card, take it out of the the microSD to full-sized SD adapter if there is one, and take a picture of it for me?

Just to make sure, you want a picture of the microSD card itself?

Yep

Bad SD card, you'll need to get a new one unfortunately

bad as in incompatible?

No, bad as in it's of bad quality and you shouldn't be using it, AmazonBasics isn't of good quality

Gotcha, thanks! Do you have a recommended card/capacity and subsequent to that is it sufficient to simply copy over what I have on my amazon card and have it work?

Buy a microSD card which is manufactured by a reputable brand such as SanDisk or Samsung from a physical shop, or if you really have to, Amazon, but make sure it's sold and fulfilled by Amazon
The highest you really should go is 128GBs, anything higher usually causes issues with 3DSes despite being able to accept up to 2TBs
You don't need to redo the hacking process since it's already hacked, you can start from here instead: https://3ds.hacks.guide/restoring-updating-cfw.html
