If everything goes according to plan, you will lose no data and end up with everything that you started with (games, saves, NNID, etc, will be preserved).

Also, I should clarify: existing Nintendo Network IDs cannot be used on Pretendo. If that was the problem, you need to create a Pretendo account (PNID) if you haven't already, and then link it to a different user than the one you're using. Deleting the Nintendo Network ID is not necessary nor recommended!
