make sure to link your PNID to your Wii U, turn on the "Save password" setting, and then dump online files again with that exact account
The Cemu setup guide has a big red warning regarding this:
Reformatting your console will result in your PNID being unlinked from that console. You will no longer be able to use online features on Cemu until you re-link your account to that console and re-obtain the files necessary for online play.

I Know, i followed that guide. I only have pretendo's online id on the console so idk if I need to be logged into a nnid too or what

still nothing, also tried this morning to play some matches on the wii U and everything worked

Got it fixed, thanks to jaimie on the CEMU server. for anyone else that has this issue to quote them directly:
"With the 2.6 Linux version you need to manually copy the BOSS files over as there’s a bug preventing getting them from the server.
Or run the Windows version via Proton/wine against the same mlc01 folder.
Files are in mlc01/usr/boss/ , you can copy the whole tree from the WiiU or a Windows-run version."
"Fixed for 2.7 when that comes out"
