Hey! I was trying to use pretendo with SMM. But i cant link my ID that i used on my 3DS.What should i do? My password, ID and email is correct. Thanks in advance

What does the network service agreement say when you read it - does it say Pretendo Network at the top, or does it say Nintendo?

if this agreement never appears during the process, try saying "no" to the question "do you have a Nintendo Network ID?" temporarily so you can check the agreement, but don't proceed past it. You already do have a PNID, after all.

Is your Wii U modded? And are you using Inkay, SSSL (hackless), or both methods, to connect?

Does it say "Using Pretendo Network" in the top left corner when the Wii U boots?

And is your 3DS linked with a Pretendo ID? Keep in mind you can only use an account created via the Pretendo website, or created via a console that has set up Pretendo.

Autoboot isn't needed per-se, but if you don't that, using your Pretendo account (day to day) could get annoying

Let's put it that way - when you power on, you'll be connected to Nintendo, and after launching H&S, you would be on Pretendo; and since one account only works for one respective server, you'll constantly get password "errors" (due to using the wrong account for the wrong network)

Autobooting would avoid a lot of this hassle, so i'd recommend it. It's also fairly safe; a system format is not going to brick it.

(i'm only concerned to know if the ID that's linked to the 3DS is a Nintendo ID or a Pretendo ID, since Nintendo IDs do not exist on the Pretendo servers.)

On the Wii U, choose your user (i assume it isn't linked to any ID?), tap the Mii in the top left, and go to link a Nintendo Network ID

you will follow the steps as normal, then it will ask "do you have a Nintendo Network ID". You will want to answer "No" here, as the question is really referring to a Pretendo account, not a Nintendo one
