When going through the setup for creating an account ont he website instead of the 3ds itself, you set a password to log into. Unfortunately, there's no 16 character limit like there is on the actual console, so you can make an account that you cannot edit, cannot change the password, and cannot log into the console as you can't type in the initial password you created.
