the max password length constraint is present on the account creation form but not the password change form via email link, also unless its a constraint inherited from nintendo i would highly recommend a higher max password length than 16 characters

#

can be solved by adding the maxlength="16" attr to the html tag like how it is when registering an account, but a better warning or notice for password criteria would be appreciated

add any more, and it becomes impossible to sign in

however you do raise a good question, that I'd like you to clarify:

are you able to enter a 17+ character password upon sign up???? according to the screenshot, you can't enter that long of a password into the reset field

nono, sign up is handled correctly

#

password changing however is not

okay nice

well, it is

#

but it could also NOT be an alert lol

so you get the error regardless of signing up or resetting your password.

nono, sign up works fine, the alert is only present on password changing

I see.

I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something suspicious going on with our website lol

and if you see the screenshot, that password is well over 16 chracters

alright. I'll go ahead and close this post now unless you have any further concerns.

this limitation is imposed on the consoles themselves though

its reasonably fast, not that bloated as far as these kinds of sites go, as an avid javascript disabler id give you guys a good 7/10 or 8/10
