I actually have to delete this due to it containing an article discussing piracy. however I will reupload your post without the piracy stuff.

For awhile now I have been getting this issue with Pokken not starting.
The game freezes on the opening boot screen.

I'm using the retail disc on Aroma CFW. It works on Tiramisu which is why i'm suspecting the issue is with Pretendo or Aroma? Or maybe the issue is something else?

I have also tried playing different versions of the game (besides the retail disc) Both do not work.
I have tried switching the game to NAND then to USB storage, still no luck... What's wrong? Would be neat to play this game online again.

So the game is currently working on Stock Firmware

As far as disabling Pretendo on Aroma, I'm not sure how to go about doing that

I am getting these error messages now. Sometimes it'll show and other times the game will freeze. I don't understand why the game would need to access the network before booting?

What I tried with no success ⬇️⬇️⬇️

I have deleted my update data and redownloaded twice

My update data is on my NAND (I use my pokken disc)

Tried loading the game off an SSD

it's trying to update, switch to NN and then boot it up, and let it update

The game has its update data already. I've updated several different times, same results. It plays with no issues on other firmware. (Tiramisu, Stock)

It'll either ask to update or it just freezes on boot the screen.
