give the login another shot, make sure you didn't accidentally press "create a new ID" when trying to log in
that error should only be appearing when the ID in question is already on the console, and if it's nowhere near the same as the NNID on the console, then it's possible you accidentally pressed the create button instead of the link button

if it doesn't work after trying it again, ping the support helper role, so you can get someone in here that knows what to look for
