Added a person and they came up as ???

I added this one person I was playing with in Splatoon after they sent me a request, and when I got the request, it all appeared normal, but after accepting them, they stayed in my requests and instead ??? appeared with a Japanese phrase. Idk if it's their specific account, or another thing, but yeah
Do I unadd them or?

Only way to fix this, and it will need to happen every time you add friends
