#How do fix this error message
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It keeps saying my ip address isn't correct
I got it working with my hotspot but not my home Internet
The friend's list still thinks I'm offline
I don't know what MTU values are, I'm not very techy
I think it's working now? I'm not sure
I can't really test it if i don't have a way to check if friends can be added successfully
All my badges are gone now on both profiles, augh i spent money on those!
Oh, that can happen sometimes. Back up your badge data now and see if you can recover it (later):
https://github.com/LiamMGit/PretendoBadgeLostGuide/wiki/Making-a-backup-of-your-badges.
I think as long as you haven't opened the Badge Arcade app while connected to Pretendo (and before making that backup), your badge data should be recoverable
It's gone. Though, would it be in my backed up sd card files on my computer?
Yes, since the badge box is saved to the Nintendo 3DS folder of the SD card - specifically at:
Nintendo 3DS > ID0 > ID1 > extdata > 00000000 > 000014d1
you can use an older backup as a means of restoring the 000014d1 folder (as long as the ID0 and ID1 from that backup don't differ from the one currently in use by your 3DS and SD card)
It's not always necessary to restore from an earlier backup, though
as your badge data could still be there but prevented from being used due to your NNID and PNID being "different"
the digits seem to match
in that case (what i said), you can download Simple Badge Injector, run it, and use the Fix NNID/PNID option to hopefully make the badges appear again
https://github.com/AntiMach/simple-badge-injector/releases/latest
nope, it deleted it
I downloaded the SBI but didn't understand how to use it
i'm not tech savvy
i'm trying to figure out all these badge editing things
I had lost my badges too some months ago, that was rough - I'm lucky i had an SD backup at all
i think it requires me to know python for one of these
i only know some javascript...
Before trying these steps, check to see if your badges reappear (in HOME Menu Settings) simply by switching back to Nintendo. I'd also advise to make a backup of the current 000014d1 folder on your SD card to a safe, temporary location (in case the restoring step ends up causing ErrDisp or similar errors).
If your badges don't reappear after switching to Nintendo, follow these steps:
- Restore the
000014d1folder from an older backup - Download the latest release of SBI
- Install the
.ciaor copy the.3dsxfile to the3dsfolder of your SD card - Go to Nimbus and switch to Pretendo
- Run SBI and choose the Fix NNID/PNID option
- ???
- Profit?
Do I need "allbadge tool " or "advanced badge editor"
uh...
they're so complex what's a BOSS container?
idk
i'm gonna put my sd card back into my 3ds and see if my stickers came back first
I can't help with the Allbadge tool sorry
i feel like i was supposed to do something else with my 3ds to stop it from getting crashes
yeah good idea
i can't find the file i bookmarked for the crashes
but, what crashes?
hmm, not a good sign. You getting this after restoring the 000014d1 folder backup?
before
from before i set up pretendo
i would play cookie clicker or dragon ball or shovel knight and the games would crash
it hasn't crashed since i changed the "clock" (not time) settings
wait so... how did your badges disappear?
I set up pretendo, wanted my badges in both profiles, stupidly opened badge arcade rabbit
delorted
it thought it would sync them- like an idiot
-# Same lol, I expected it would just say the service was discontinued, nothing more
oh mg all my shit is gone now
Anyway, my solution is above - I'd suggest to use these instructions instead of the Restoring vanished badges guide that I posted earlier (you can do everything in SBI now, without the need for Advanced Badge Editor)
But right as I say that... your SD card might be failing or something
false alarm my sd card was not inserted
being a tech boomer is so scary, i don't recommend it
it's just one heart attack after another...
i'll tell you if the stickers come back, it's running that error program rn
3ds_hw_test
Btw I have to go, sorry
