the idea of these patches is to be able to set a fixed p2p port, that you then forward in router to get a NAT Type A for online play without doing DMZ

if it actually helps with PIA/Comm errors is something i cannot confirm but after i did set it up i had less of them

but i am one sample out of a few hundred players

set it up yourself and see if it helps

though none of this offically publish yet just avaible as graphic packs in quarkies github or inkay gha nightlies

the current pretendo servers are to my knowelge hosted in Florida US, imagine being in europe and having to send all your data to the US and then back to some european player

so Pretendo has to host an instance for each region in order to avoid smth like this

I have server hardware unused in my basement. someone could test a p2p connection between 2 servers that hosts the game. The fact that a server is made for bigger network tasks could mean it can handle the movement data faster than a p2p connection between 2 WiiU's with bigger packages at once
